| Hawaii does have some extensive laws about importing dogs into the state because they are rabies free. Here is some information from the Hawaii Dept of Agriculture. "Furthermore, the law requires dogs and cats not meeting all of the specific 5-Day-Or-Less program requirements to be quarantined for up to 120 days upon arrival In Hawai`i. (See “Hawaii Rabies Quarantine Information Brochure” for details on 120-day quarantine.)" You will need to check with the state to see what you need to do to get your Yorkie into the state, I think there are ways to circumvent the 120 day quarantine period but you need to get it done early. Here is the website to start with. Animal Quarantine Information — Hawaii Department of Agriculture Teresa |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I thought I saw on the news that Obama took his dog on vacation to Hawaii last week. Not sure of the laws.

| I saw that too, but I think The Leader of the Free World has special privileges.

| I bet he does. This has been discussed before, and I think there is a way around the long quarantine. It's a long process. Look into the agricultural department for Hawaii or google importing dogs into Hawaii.
