| Opinions . . .Advice . . .Etc DH and I plan on purchasing a home when we are in Florida in October to be used as our vacation home until DH retires. We plan on doing several small trips alone during the year, but thinking of maybe doing 2 week trips in the Summer. I've never left the furbutts alone for more than 3 to 4 nights (because I miss them terribly) they are spoiled enough to be able to be at home with either my daughter and/or my son, and have even stayed with my parents. But I'm wondering if we should include them in the Summer and have them start getting used to that house? Maybe not the Summer of 2011 because I'm sure we'll be doing some major cleaning, painting, flooring, etc . . .or do you think it would be too much of a disruption going from one house to another?

| We bought a vacation home in Florida..which we travel to about 6 times a year. Eventually this will be our retirement home. Pasquale absolutely LOVESSSSSSSSSSSSSS going there. He knows he gets to go to the beach. He knows he can go into the outdoor lanai anytime he wants and be secure. In fact, i think he likes it more down there, than up here.

| Really?? Cool! That's great to hear! What part of Florida did you purchase a home in? We are going to be looking in the Minneola/Clermont area . . .we've got it narrowed down to Oak Valley area and/or Spring Valley . . .I'm eyeing this house right now that I absolutely love . . .I hope its still there when we go!

| When we travel to Florida our girls go with us and they aren't confused at all...they just run inside and head for the doggie door to the back patio. They don't have adjustment issues going there or returning to our home here. Megan enjoys the road trip more than Maddie Jo...she isn't crazy about the 'riding' part but she loves the stops along the way. Although, we'll be going in a new vehicle this year and she hasn't been sick in this one so maybe she'll do better on the road now. When we go back and forth I always take their food bowls and placemat from home...their doggie beds and their toys...that way they have something familiar to them and it helps. I also take their food (and find out where I can buy their brand in Florida) and I take some of our water to mix with the water there so they don't get an upset tummy. |

| Ahhhh the water . . that brings up a good point. . I, myself, have a hard time drinking Florida water . . it just tastes soooo different. I'll have to go the Publix and get them bottled water. We'd be traveling by plane . . .I could never do a drive to Florida . . .well, not with DH driving anyway . . .

| I used to buy Zephyrhills water in Florida and I loved it. We go to Ocala and The Villages and the water isn't bad in those two places but I like the bottled water best...and it's easy to carry with you on day trips. |
