| Disney Kennels Has anyone used the Disney kennels? Are they clean and safe? They are under new ownership now. Best friends.

| just bumping this for you. I have not used them but I remember reading on here someone who had- many actually. I know at one point you were responsible for exercising your pet during the day but i'm not sure if that is still true. But, i mean, its Disney, they don't screw around and usually do things quite well. |

| Hi, I have used the Disneyland kennels about 6 times in the past 2 years and I love them. The employees don't let your dogs out, you come back every couple of hours and take them potty and they are clean. Make sure you have your shot records, take a blanket and your food. The lady that works the kennels in the mornings is very nice, she's been there for a long time and she will sit by your dog and talk to them. I highly recommend them! I am referring to the kennels that are located next to the main gate to disneyland, they don't offer overnight stays. I think they have overnight kennels close by but I have never used those. I hope this was helpful! |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | funny you posted this thread because i too was just asked to go to disney at the end of next month and was wondering what to do with morgan. i heard the disney kennels were nice and that you had to come back to take them out. Do the park hotels allow dogs or do you have to stay outside the park?

| I wish disney would change this policy! We love to stay at the disneyland hotel! We have stayed at the hilton which has it's own shuttle service and some rooms have disney views and we have stayed at the menage which is down the street from disneyland and they are clean and good priced but you would have to take the shuttle and we have stayed at the howard johnson which is in walking distance of the park and if you have kids they have a fun pirate themed water park. I'm sure there are other hotels in the area that are pet friendly but these are the only ones we've tried. The hilton was the nicest but also the most expensive. |

| When we just had peanut we stayed at the disneyland hotel. We had to sneek him in. He's not a barker and is potty pad trained so it easy but now with 2 we just stay at the other hotels. |

| I've debated whether or not to use the disney kennels, or kennels in my area, . . .but always decided against it . .. My husband and I travel to WDW a few times a year (we are AP holders) and are lucky enough to have our dogs watched in our own home . . .usually my kids, sometimes my parents . . .this November, we have my daughter's fiance' staying here so we can all go as a family. (My husband and I have been going alone) I would love to bring my babies with me . . but I figure the stress of flying and then being in an unknown place in a cage would surely freak them out . . .I feel they are safer and more secure in our own home . . .As time goes on though, it does seem to get more difficult securing someone to watch them. They day I cannot find in home care will be the day I won't be going . . . I'm sure the disney kennels are kept very well as it is disney standard. I don't have any personal experiences to share though. I would love to see the WDW resorts open their policy to include bringing your babies with you.

| we have been renting houses. HomeAway.com has great dog friendly pool homes that allow pets for around the $100 @ night.

| We are going to Disney in Dec and I looked in to the kennels. I have heard that they are really good, but currently you have to walk your own dogs and they can't stay in any of the disney accomodations with you. HOWEVER, they are building a new dog facility at Disney and it is going to have doggy day care and everything. I believe it will be ready in April 2010. |

| If you stay at Ft. Wilderness (in an RV/camper/log cabin) your dog can stay with you. Just not in the other Disney hotels.

| Does anyone know if there is a kennel located within one of the resorts? If my dog can't stay in my room I would prefer they were in the resort complex where we stay rather than at one of the parks. Thanks
