YT 500 Club Member | First Vacation with Meg! Meg, DH, and I are going on our first real vacation together. We are taking the bullet train down to Busan for a long weekend at the beach. The hotel we are staying at does not allow dogs, but we couldn't find one that does allow dogs. Hopefully Meg doesn't freak out from people walking up/down the hallway at night. Anyway, I am super excited. I hope the weather will be nice enough to spend some time on the beach and relax. I am bringing Meg's play yard so that she can hang out in a shaded area safe from birds, etc while I am reading my book. And Meg's life jacket and doggles are ready to go in case she decides to try out the water. As far as going out for dinner, going to the aquarium (there's a great one by the beach), etc, it's Korea and people are usually very friendly to small dogs. Well, young and middle-aged women, at least. Korean men, not so much. I'm totally excited, and I hope everything goes well. Wish me luck!

YT 500 Club Member | We're Back! Well, aside from Meg barking at EVERY movement/sound outside our hotel room, the trip was great. Honestly, we thought we were going to get kicked out of the Westin and have to sleep on the beach. She just about drove us crazy, and we ended up having to make her a bed in the bathroom (and close the door) so she wouldn't bark. For some reason two paper-thin doors insulated her from wanting to bark at the people in the hallway. I felt bad locking her in there - she just wanted to be with us - but at night we really didn't have any other choice. We spent lots of time on the beach, and Meg had the time of her life, seriously. She knocked over sandcastles, hopped around like a rabbit, chased pigeons (pigeons on the beach?! Yah, it's Korea...), ingested a ton of sand from all the digging and sniffing, and even took a quick run through the ocean. The water was FREEZING so we didn't get to swim, unfortunately. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...my-babies.html I LOVE it, btw. It's nylon and folds right up into a carrying pouch. It's wicked light and fits into a suitcase. Yay!
