| Grand Sierra Resort in Reno with our dog... We have stayed at the Grand Seirra a few time before and truely like this hotel, but this was our first time to take Leo with us. When I called the hotel and asked about having the dog with us, they told me he could be anywhere in the hotel that did not have food. I can honestely say... I didn't truely believe them. I figured I would just have to wait and see what happened once we arrived. The hotel ended up being great about the dog. Leo was allowed almost everywhere... shops, casino & even in the bowling alley. We were only asked to leave two places because of the dog. One was the kids play area and another was a family waiting room, off of the casino. The only problem that we did have was trying to eat on our last day after we checked out of our room. Because we couldn't have the dog anywhere near a restraunant or where people where eating, we could not get any food! This did not go over very well with 4 hungry and tired children... In the end a very nice security guard turned the other way while we ate our lunch. Last edited by momof4CA; 07-16-2008 at 12:54 PM. |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | That's great you had such a wonderful experience staying at the hotel. More and more hotels, and retail establishments are beginning to allow pets and it's a trend I'm thrilled to see. I had to chuckle about your lunch and the security guard. I worked the front desk of a local hotel. A guest had me hold her yorkie, so she could grab a bagel from our breakfast buffet. The rest, shall we say is history.....I fell in love with the yorkie and within 2 months had my very first - Ruby......I quit the hotel to stay at home with her
