We are getting a cabin in the Smokies. I need something to leave Lucky in while we go out to eat or to a show so he wont chew on anything in the cabin. lol. He is 14 weeks and really likes chewing on stuff. I need something easy to take down and put up. Thanks for your reply. | |

| We have used a huge fold-up crate for like a 100lb dog. It's big enough for both of them and we can zip it up when we go out and it's very sturdy. Otherwise we just leave it open with their toys and bed and it gives them a place to hang out if they want to.

| Play Pen vs Kennel Hi there and welcome to YT!! I've had a play pen that I bought at Petsmart a looooong time ago (Precision brand) and it's the metal kind. It folds up and is easily carried, sets up in no time. The only drawback is, that if your puppy is as wild as mine was, he can and will move the entire play pen clear across the room! Since all the panels are movable, he just pushed it around and created his own shape of the pen, scratched up the hardwood floor in the process. I don't know the other brand you were talking about though. Whenever I have to leave 6 month old Walker I put him in a good size kennel and he is just fine for a few hours. Just make sure he has some toys in there to chew on or leave the radio on. Have fun at the cabin!
