| Anybody ever flown AirTran? I was wondering if any of you have ever flown Air Tran with your dog. Benji and I will be flying for the first time in July and I was just trying to figure out how bad it is. He is a big whiner!!! Also, what bag did you get? I don't want to spend too much since I am sure he will never use the bag again since he sits in his car seat on car rides. Bella (my maltese) and Patrick will be leaving a week before us and they are flying airtran as well so I have to get two bags. We are driving to NY for our wedding with my uncle but he is returning earlier than we wanted to so we bought plane tickets to come back. Thanks for the info!

| Sorry, never been on airtran with a pet. We have some good threads on YT with flying tips, though. I am sure they would apply to Air Tran also. Have you been to their website? The rules should be there. |

| I fly a lot for work... I try to fly Air Tran as often as possible. While I have never flown with any of my dogs, I can tell you that I have never lost my luggage or missed a connection with that airline... I hope they have as good of a record with pets. Please let us know how your experience goes.

| when it comes to the bag measurements are key. find out their exact dimensions before you buy a carrier.

| flying air tran I fly air tran with my baby Rocco at least once a month. Most of the time they are very nice and even offer the lil guy water!! He sleeps most of the flight and only wakes up when he hears the snack cart coming!!! I fly out of White Plains, NY into Florida. Happy traveling!!! |
