Thumbs down Help potty's in his crate

I have a new yorkie pup he is 10 1/2 weeks old I had him since he was 7 weeks old. I am crate training him just like I have with my others one. And did on occasion have a accident or two. But not night after night.
WE have shorten his area down to about nothing and he stills poops and pees right in front of the door then he stands on his small toy and cry's. I clean it up and wash the bedding every day. I just started to put small pee pads in front of the door the last 2 nights and he still finds a way to poop & pee on his blanket.
I am pee pad training and outside training. And the little stinker does what he pleases. Sometimes he goes out side and other he will hold till he gets inside he might go pee on the pad.
I was getting worried cause he wasn't going poo. Boy, was I wrong!!!!!! I found his private pooping place. He will play with my other yorkie and he hides under the couch to attack Taffy. Well when he is waiting to goes out the back side and poos..... Then goes back under the couch and comes out the front to play and go his merry way.

The little stinker just started lifting his leg, now, remember he is only 2 1/2 months old is this normal????? I don't want him marking things I am getting him neutered when he is 5 months old.

I need some help here with this little stinker.

Thanks

I've been breeding over 19 yrs.. Puppy's are babies.. They need to be able to go when they need to go.. to a place that is away from their bedding and food.. They are baby's till they are two yrs old.. Wanting a puppy house broke or crate trained when they are 10 weeks old is asking a lot of a baby.. Crate training should not be atempted till they are older. It's like asking a 6 month old child to use the bathroom. They just need a confind area so they don't get the idea as they can go all over the house. As to pee pads.. I hate them.. all that dose is teach the dog to go on your carpets.. News paper is much better as puppy's can't hold it.. It's cheap and easy to change.. I find my dogs will not go on a dirty paper either.. So, keep it clean..

Also people who say in their adds that puppy is house broke.. Do you know how they do it..? It's with shock colars.. Yup! I love my dogs way too much to asked this kind of thing from them till they are old enough to be able to do what is asked.. They always want to please you.. If they aren't getting it.. It's you not the dog.. Praise will get you much better results.. Also a puppy being sent to new home at 7 weeks??? my pups aren't even weaned at that age as mine still get to be with mom till mom decides it's enough.. I hope you can lighten up on this little guy as he's trying and just can't do it right now.. God Bless

Rosie's right that you pup is still a baby so try to be patient.

It seems to me that you pup has decided that the blanket is the appropriate place to go when he's in the crate. I'd remove it. I would get him a small bed to curl up in (a cat bed should be the right size) and cover the rest of the crate in pee pads.

Default Potty training not easy

This is the way I trained my Yorkie. We got her at 8 weeks, to young I think. We confined her to the kitchen and she is now 7 months old and that is were she still is. Our kitchen is pretty big, lots of room for here to play and eat in. At night we put down 3 pee pads close to the door to go out, and if she has to go at night she goes on them. In the day she goes outside to potty and she knows too. We have introduced her to the other rooms daily, but if she don't behave, well back in the kitchen she goes. Her bed is there and she sleeps there at night. Never had a problem with her bed time. I just turn off the light at 9:00 and we retire to our room and watch T.V. there or in the computer room. We are retired and in our seventies so I guess it was easier being home all the time. If a person works it is hard on the dog and you. She spends a lot of time outside in our big yard, and she knows to pee out there. In her first few months it was not easy as it was in January the cold months. There were many days I just cried because I didn't think I would make another day. It was hard on us because of our ages. She was a Christmas gift from my daughter, she thought we needed a dog. Good Luck Ginny
