Hi Kay,
I would love to make some diapers for you!
To measure you will want to measure:
1) Waist
2) Waist to tail
3) Underside Waist, through the legs over butt and back to waist (this will give me the final length of the diaper)
Yorkies and smaller dogs have small tails (duh) so I do make the tail hole a bit larger than the size of a quarter if you feel you need larger or smaller just let me know.
Also, Please check out all my fabrics (100+) and let me know which ones you would like as well as if you would like a bow or "Bling" added.

what is a belly band ??

A Belly Band can be used to help train a puppy not to piddle or mark in the house. You have them wear it around the house and when you see them squatting or ready to mark you escort them outside and remove it to have them do their duties. Some also use them for incontinence as well as to prevent breeding.

Can they be used on the male and the full pants on the female so she doesn't get pregnant when in heat?

Yes they can. I would suggest both during season though for extra protection. Unlike some other diapers, my tail holes are small (a bit larger than a quarter) and can even be made smaller/or larger if needed. This can also help prevent him from "sneaking in".

I think I better get a couple of diapers for Miss Sadie -- just to be prepared. Are they on special too? Should we order from you on PM or on your site? I will want the Black with Pink poka dot material, no bow -- I have a tomboy girl.

So put a belly band and pants on both male & female when she's in season?
