Ok, I've lost it. I'm totally beyond angry right now. Harley had problems with biting kids before and being aggressive when cornered by them but I worked with him and he has been fine. Unfortunately, he apparently still feels the need to bite my little cousin, Donovan, who is 5 or 6.

He comes over every once in a while and he used to be really loud and stomped around and then I expected Harley to react to that but now he has no excuse. Donovan is always quiet and careful around Harley now, he stays away from his toys, doesn't raise his voice or bother him in anyway. In fact, he was in the living room sitting quietly in a rocking chair and playing xbox and BOOM Harley tore into the room and bit his arm!? I was so angry, but kept my cool, corrected him with a touch, "No" and put him in the corner and made him lay there for a couple min in time out. 5 min later, it happened again but this time on his leg!? So I corrected again, stepped between them and made Harley lay down in submission and made Donovan correct him this time and then took him to his crate. He bit him hard this time too. He never broke skin but not for lack of trying because his leg and arm were bruised within minutes. He is totally unprovoked (sp) and I'm on my last nerve here. It's like he HATES Donovan.. I always hoped we could work this out together but now it seems impossible..

I practice "Cesar Millan" behavior with my whole pack but it seems like Harley is immune?!

Does Harley only bite Donovon or does he bite other children also? I have only had a problem wiith Chachi biting once and it was me and he tried to bite My Husband and My Husband put him on his back and yelled at him no bite and he didnt do it again. I dont know what I would have done if it continued. Have you spoken to a trainer about this? Good luck I know you are frustrated and i hope you can get to he bottom of why he is doing that

He doesn't get the chance to bite any other children since when we're out he's always wearing his halti so he's always under my complete control. But I bet he would try if he was off leash. When I'm at work and people come into my office I have to put him in my desk drawer and keep his behind me or he'll go after any kids. It makes me so angry because I really want him to be able to socialize normally. I have been working with our trainer and the facility for over a year now. What he really seems to hate about kids is their high pitch voice because even when adults speak in the 'high pitched baby voice' that's when he gets stressed and snappy. I had a lady come into work who had a VERY high pitched voice and talked to Harley like he was an infant and he FLIPPED. So maybe it's their voices that drives him nuts.. Is that possible?

It sounds like he is sensitive to voices to me. I have a 6 yr old that has a very shrill voice so mine are used to it but i see how some dogs could be sensitive to it

I know how frustrated you are I can see it in your typing

Perhaps if your nephew gave Harley a treat each time he were
over Harley would look to him as friend not enemy. His biting
has to be corrected for sure. Bud has done that once on me
and nearly lost his ears! Who knows what goes through their heads but they are tough little ones. Try the treating thing maybe at least
twice each visit. Good luck.
