Well the pee-pads seem to be working...sorta

I'm actually pretty impressed with Tia's track record so far. At just under 11 weeks she pees on her pad almost every time. I'm also impressed because she has 3 pads set up throughout the house and she seems to know where each one is. But....pooping is a whole other story. She'll go anywhere but. Today I picked up a spray for her pads to enhance the "gotta go" smell...hoping it'll work. Maybe they should make poop-pads.

We just bought her an expen today and we'll see if that helps. If anyone else is going/has gone through this and has two cents to add, go for it! Otherwise, I'm just sharing my experience

I feel your pain. Venus takes 3 steps forward then 4 backward in potty training!

About the time she hasn't had an accident in a good 2 weeks, she'll start peeing on the carpet again.

I'm looking at ceramic now, lol.

Now poo....omg. As much as I try to keep her in the kitchen, she'll poo wherever, and then take it to her bed to hide it. If she's in the rest of the house, poo where she wants to. She tries to poo in her litter box on the wee wee pad, but walks off too soon.

I try to confine her to the kitchen as much as I possibly can. I have a gate I got from Target on clearance ($12.95) to keep her in there.

She's almost 8 months old now. I am looking at ceramic for the rest of the house though.

My little guy is 12 wks plus and is doing much better on the wee wee pads. We started rewarding him with 2 pieces of his puppy food as a treat and making a big deal out of it. I have them in a glass candy dish with a lid and he now knows the sound. He's starting to go over to the pads now and looks at us as if to say -- hey I've done something here, come check it out. But I know what you are talking about with the pooping -- Mattie is starting on the pads but keeps walking off of them. So I'm hopeful that the treat idea will kick in for that too, because he doesn't get a treat if he gets off the pad.

In the beginning I had 2 pads in the house, one in the livingroom and one in the dinning room, she would use one to pee on and one to poop on. I decided to have only one pad and I left the one in the dinning room and she got used to peeing and pooping on the same pad pretty quick. My problem is that if I don't pick up the poop soon after she goes she will carry it into her taxi and play with it... . She really doesn't eat it anymore just plays with it. It is usually not a problem unless I have to leave her for awhile, I always know that if there is nothing on the pee pad but pee, I have a surprise waiting for me in her taxi... . I hope she grows out of this soon. Don't tell her I told you about this as she is very sensitive about her little nasty habit...

Tinkerbelle is 5 months now and poops on the pad most of the time. Once in a while she misses or just doesn't. Now pee - well, it's so much better than it was, but she gets excited and forgets to stop playing or running and dribbles as she goes. It's funny and oh so sad at the same time.

I swear I run around with paper toweling and enzyme spray attached to my arm.

But the good part is that it really is so much better than a month ago. She likes the nouse her paws make on the piddle pads. LOL
