Angry Pixie is TOAST!

If she does not stop peeing on my white carpet!!! I know its totally my fault!!!

She is the only one who can jump, or should I say FLY, over the gates... So she helps herself to full run of the house! And the house is her potty!! UGH!!!!

I am having the carpets cleaned for the 3rd time today, I have only been in this house 5 months!!! (I know, I can hardly believe it myself!) The first two times there were like 10 pee spots.... this time there are like 25!!! She is in deep doo!!!

I have to put an end to this once and for all!!!!! Its costing me 250 today!!! HELP!!!

I'm open to any and all suggestions!! Do I tie her to my waist???? Crate her all day like a puppy and go back to basics?? What the heck should I do... she'll be a fricken year old this month (sept)!!!

Give it to me straight guys!!!

It's simple...pack her little things and ship her to me. We have a lovely little cabin on the lake that has hardwood floors so no carpets to clean! Just kidding, of course, I think maybe it's time to go back to the basics and start training her over again.

I am having the same trouble with my youngest Daisy. She will also be a year old in Sept. She just does not get the idea, I dont know what to do. Instead of hiring someone to shampoo my carpets I bought a rug doctor for $800. It seems like alot but like you said if you are paying 250 dollars today its worth it in the long run. Good Luck.

Oh myyyyyyy!!!! Is she pad trained or does she go outside?? I would confine her to a area when she peepee on your rug...yes I know they can jump high!! Maybe double the gates on her. I have 2 baby gates and I put one right on top of the other so they can't jump. I've never had that problem with mine and they use the pads. We've been accident free for 2 months and they are 6 & 5 months old now. Just be sure that when she does go on the right place praise her and give her a treat. Also try spraying the areas with vinegar and water that helps take away the smell and stain.

Another jumper! I had no idea a Yorkie could fly until Buddy. I had to put
two gates, one on top of the other to keep him from leaving the kitchen
and going into the rest of the house when I was not home. I wish I could
post pictures of how this looked. You would think there was a pitbull behind the gates instead of a little yorkie. (at the time he was little). Hope that
helps. Be good Pixie and stop peeing in the house. Hear me.

I would recommend going back to basics. I know you have a lot of babies to care for in the house, but you will need to give her some extra attention. If she's jumping over gates, go back to crate training, or double up on her gates. Praise the heck out of her when she goes in the right places. If neither of those seem like options for you, buy her a diaper/skirt like the one I bought from Rena at www.barkindogclothes.com. I use mine for when I take Coco to other people's houses. But certainly you can use it on her. Though this won't help potty traiin her, this may retain your sanity and your white carpets. I personally would go back to confinement in a very small area, double up on the gates if you have to. It's hard but some tough love goes a long way sometimes.

Can anyone post photos of their double gates just so I know what everyone is talkign about? I have a girl that jumps over the gates and climbs out of her ex-pen. We don't know how to keep her contained while we're away of the house short crating for 8 hours.

Just buy two of the same child proof gates and put one on top of the other.
Good luck. Wish I could post a picture because it is really funny. It becomes so high and the thought of a little Yorkie behind it to me is hysterical.

Will it work if it's two metal expens one on top. What do you use to keep it from collapsing?

The gates are suctioned to the inside of the door frame. I never used an xpen.

ok, ok. We have a large room with a HUGE doorway, not a standard so that won't work. Darn. I need to find other solutions for mini-houdini

I don't like crate training -- I hate the idea of leaving them in crates all day. I never used a crate and successfully trained 3 dogs (1 Maltese and 2 Yorkies). What worked for me was using an exercise pen. Put the pen in one room (preferably without carpet). Then put food, water, toys and a small bed on one side and on the other side put her wee wee pads.

You can get x-pens for a great price on E-Bay! Just last week, I bought an exersice pen and had it mailed to my in-laws home so that when we leave Saturday for our visit, we will have something to put the dogs in while we're out (rather then give them free run of the house).

I got it for a great price too -- $47.98. Here's the one I bought:

I agree, I hate crating for long. BUT I think we're all trying to housebreak them rather than pee pad train them. That and I'm trying to contain her when for eg. I'm upstairs for 10-15 minutes and I don't want her running around the entire downstairs pottying all over the carpets so I'm trying to keep her in one area of the house w/o carpets.
