I have been using the Dog Whisperer method, all week, to train them not to rush through the door when I let them in and out. In just 5 days, I no longer have to even give them the signal. When I open the door, they sit and wait for me to tell them it is OK to go through it.

The big test will be when someone comes to the door, I expect I will have to remind them of their manners a time or two.

I Just watch him on TV. He'll be on tonight. National Geographic channel. from 8 to 10. He does have DVD's out if you can't get that channel.

That is great! I don't have cable so I have never seen him

There is a woman in my complex with a silky who is using his method to get her to stop barking at people when out on walks and it is working really well!!!

accomplishing that one task is huge! Teaching that one small lesson in being respectful will make everything else you teach much easier.

I watched the Dog Whisperer this weekend, and I am going to try his techniques when I get my puppy. Many people I've talked to use his method, and they say it really does work.
