Love Cesar Millan love thread

Who here loves Cesar Millan and the Dog Whisperer?

I decided to make a love thread for him as well since there is one for Victoria too.

I watch his show every Friday night and really enjoy his program.
I really like him as a person as well.

NO bashing, or arguing allowed in this thread.
If you don't like him, simply don't post.

I like him especially his accent. I have used a couple of his training methods and they have worked for me. I enjoy watching his show. I think he has a way with dogs especially bigger dogs. I think the smaller dogs are more perplexing to him

At times I even think he's sexy! (did I just type that?)

Lol, Carol, and I thought it was his training that you loved! Actually, I love his manner, and the calm asertive manner works with women as well as dogs.

I think so many people miss the point of Cesar, and just don't get what he's saying, some programs are like watching a surgeon perform an appendectomy, and it doesn't mean we are suppose to try the procedure at home, and he even warns that this should not be done by anyone except a trained professional, yet people still say, or you should never do that to your dog – no kidding! I'm not about to perform an appendectomy either just because I saw it on TV. Many programs do have great easy tips that any dog owner can utilize, and I like the way he addresses the psychological aspects of canine behavior. Behaviorists just address the behavior of an animal, where psychoanalysts address the whys of a behavior, and sometimes it helpful to understand the whys. To me, Cesar is the Freud of canine behavior, and there is much we can learn from him.

LOL, I agree on the sexiness part. Is that bad that he is like 20 years older than me? (I think he's 40, correct?)

I agree! I always need to know why on most everything. It only makes sense (to me anyway) to understand why. I have really learned a lot from Cesar. Certainly, I would never tackle some of the cases he does, but I have to admire his successes. If he were sooo bad, I doubt he'd have such a huge audience & followers.

You can't help but notice on these shows how often behaviorists who can't fix serious problems just say the only thing to do is put the dog down. Geez! I hate that!!!

IMHO, the vets as a whole are covering their butts against law suits & people organizations are full of politics too.

i like cesar too! he's done such great work with so many dogs and people. I love that he is all for rehabilitation and rescue work. I can recall a few episodes where the owners wanted help introducing a second dog into their home and Cesar went to the shelters to find the perfect dog for their current dog (and the people).

i also agree that there is just something about him that makes him very appealing.

Plus i LOVE DADDY!!!

I love the fact that he never gives up on a dog. If the owner cant manage the re-hab he'll take the dog on himself and continue to work with it until he feels its ready for a new owner. I've seen other T.V trainers just walk away when their methods fail, leaving the owner to rehome the dog. In one program concening a min-pin he seamed genuenly upset when the owners had her P.T.S. after barely trying.

Yeah, I this is one of the things I like best, even if you don't agree with his methods, I believe he gives dog owners some hope that there are other choices besides P.T.S.
