Default Biting Furniture

Katy is seven months old and starting to nibble at our nice furniture! Help... how long does this last. I can't take my eyes off of her for one second.

Get her some veal bully stick, it’s easy for them to digest and saves on the furniture. Once you catch her chewing say NO NO give the bully stick.

By 7 months the teething should have stopped by now

Get some chew toys
be very vigilant about saying NO! .... whenever you see her go to nibble
and keep the furniture coated in things that taste bad toothpaste works good for my pups

they sell a lot of sprays that you can use too

Put gel deodorant on any surface you don't want chewed. It works.

I haven't used it, but lots of people recommend Bitter Apple spray. They sell it at pet stores. Your furniture will be in my thoughts.

Yep, get the Bitter Apple Spray or Biogroom makes a good product too. Similar sounding name. Geez, I own a bottle and can't think of the name of it! Either way...works like a charm. Sophie is 9 mths old and still will go to look for something to chew on occassion. At 7 mths she was at the height of her chewing on everything. Sometimes I think she does it for attention, but either way..it still happens.

Harley is 9 months and is chewing on everything. He has chewed the trim, stairwell, a few pieces of my furniture. I just recently went and bought the bitter spray because it has gotten so out of hand. So far I have not seen him chewing on anything that I have sprayed. I just noticed yesterday that he has almost chewed through a surge protector which could be very dangerous. I'm sorry I don't have much advise except for the bitter spray. It seems to be working so far. Of course, they have already done damage by the time you know where you need to spray. :>)

My guys watch me spray on the bitter apple?
And then they go and lick it OFF

Same thing with the Yucky Puppy stuff

But what they hate is Ultra brite toothpaste
Makes them sneeze

Thank god for small miracles

my bella is 9 months and she licks the bitter apple, the bitter lime and the fooey! and she is definitely going through a second chewing phase--nothing deters her. we've put tape on furniture corners with the sticky side out--she gets her hair caught, rips away and goes back for more! and apparently baseboards coated in tabasco and cayenne pepper taste better than bull sticks! (UGH!) she's driving us nuts. please tell me she'll outgrow this?

OH NOOOO!!!!
Funny I should run across this post.
As I am sitting here reading through the newest posts I hear a funny noise and go to look for the queen as she is not coming when I call her......it appears that the corner of my nightstand tastes better than any high dollar doggie treat or puppy food I have ever given the little miss. Heading over to petco first thing in the morning to get some bitter apple.
