Question Why do the POOP the second I leave???

I am RE-TRAINING Roxy and TJ. I am using the treat reward system for training in a litter box (w/pads) and this system works great for PEE. This system works great when they are in their room (actually they don't even need treats in their room, b/c it is so small and they are really good about going in their boxes to PEE and finally 80% of the time POOP).
BUT...downstairs is a different story. Now, when I am in the Kitchen I block them in there w/me and this is the same in the TV room too. They are doing good w/the PEE in the box (plus a treat) BUT they seem to POOP right on the floor the second I leave the room. It seems like they hold until I am gone, and then do it. I am only gone for a minute and I come back to see 'some' poop b/c they have already attacked and ate it!!! WHY??????
Do they not want me to see them POOP? They POOP w/me in their room and seem to have NO SHAME, so why do they wait for me to leave when we are downstairs??? I DON'T GET IT??? This has become an everyday thing...
Anyone else have this problem or know WHY???

it happens to me tooo. when lexi is real quite, she either into something or
eating her poop... she does it on her wee pad, but if i dont got to it in time,
she will eat it before i get there.. im talking in a matter of maybe 2 or
3 minutes of her being alone... poop and eat.... she will eat it even after a full meal... i guess she thinks it a tootsie roll ( dessert) yummy for her..

TJ eats it too RIGHT AFTER A BIG MEAL...I just don't get it!
I think I am coming to the conclusion that they know when we are downstairs that I have to leave them alone at some point so they wait for that opportunity SO THEY CAN POOP AND BE ABLE TO EAT IT TOO!

Mackie's getting really good with the poopin outside. Mellie on the other hand...

I swear we can go outside for 8 hours and the second we walk in the house. And it has to be done on the Persian Rug. I have just begun to think she just has good decorating taste. However, my husband told me don't expect a new one when this one get ruined Grass vs. Persian Rug. Persian Rug.

Don't fret! My Romeo was a major poop consumer! It freaked me out so bad that I ended up taking him to thevet! HE eventually just stopped though. I also bought those DETER tablets...they worked like a dream!

My Coco doesn't eat poop but occasionally on her accident days, it's like she's peering her head all the way out to make sure I'm gone and just lets the darn terd out like 1 inch away from the pad..like to purposefully say "ooohhh whoooppsss did I miss? Was I supposeddddd to go over HERE? Better luck nextime mom."

Yes, the DETER really works great. It makes their poop taste bad * which one would think poop would already taste aweful, but apparently not * It has a dosage chart on the box for specific weight(s). It really did work. After a few days he stopped eating his poop. Then, after about a month or so I stopped giving it to him and I havent had any problems since.

It is so strange! I narrowed it down to this though: It seems to be Roxy that (if she has poop ready to come out), she will do it the second I turn my back or leave the room. I have discovered that she is very submissive, shy and scared. Her pooping like that when I leave (I think) is a Nervous Defecation, and then the poop becomes a treat for them (especially for TJ). I just ordered a book: "Help for your shy dog" (Deborah Wood) and I hope it will help me correct Roxy's issues. I'll let you know what happens. Oh and by the way I have tried many things: Forbid, Pineapples and NOW ACCENT. The ACCENT is the only thing that sorta works. But maybe I will try the Deter b/c I really hate sprinkling MSG on their food. The Vet said it was ok and most people do 5 days on and 2 days off until it stops, but I still hate the idea of it!

My yorkie ate poop when she was a puppy so I bought Forbid and put it on her food. It worked for her. She is great. I can leave her in the house all day and she will not have any accidents. She won't even let anyone take her outside but me. She is very attached to me. She follows me everwhere. I don't know what we would do without each other.
