I was just wondering about tail length standards. My pups tail is only about 1 1/2 inches long. Our friends Yorkie's tail is about three inches long. I think the longer tail is cuter. Any comments just wondering. Scoop (Eileen Jensen)

Not sure what the standard is, but my pup will be 4 months old a week from today, and his tail is only about 1.5 inches long.

Bella's tail must be extra short then because hers is barely an inch long....but my moms yorkie Bazil's tail is about 2 inches long....idk? haha

I have no idea what the standard length is supposed to be - all 3 of mine have different lengths

The Standard states, "Docked to a medium length and carried slightly higher than the level of the back" .. interpretation, I guess is up to the individual doing the docking. The tail carriage is important for the look of the Yorkie and is usually longer in the Show ring, and seems to be getting longer... but little tail is better than no tail.

yeah Eva I met her when I was taking Gracie out for a walk one day! and she stopped me!

Im GLAD she did I told her about this site! and her little TOBY is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute! I will have to post some more pics

oh and hes the little pup that was over my house playing with Gracie

It's me again, Eileen, You asked to see pic's. I don't know how to post pic's. I just noticed that you already know my new friend, Jessica, Gracie's mom. She implied that you saw my Toby at her house. Is that true? She's a great puppy-sitter.
