| She is only 9 weeks old and I have successfully taught her 3 tricks. Sit, Down, and Paw (she gives me her paw). Ive been using bits of boiled chicken for treats. She picked them up so fast! I think it really helped having my other dog do tricks in front of her. She seems like a really smart puppy. ![]()

| What a little smarty pants you have. Congratulations on her achievements. They do love chicken. Keep up the good work.

| If she is on frontline and scratching a lot still I would check for live fleas first. If you can't find any she may be having an allergy. From what Ive read here a good food for allergies is Natural Balance (the one with duck in it). Dish soap might dry out her skin and make her more itchy. Some of the foods people here suggest is Canidae, Natural Balance, Wellness, Solid Gold. Im pretty sure you can get these at feed stores and I know petco sells Natural balance and solid gold. I think Iams isn't considered a high enough quality food for yorkies. Try doing a little research on those foods and see what you think. Some of the foods websites can tell you where to get them near where you live.

| Congratulations on training Triss so well. My Mac also does "sit", "down" and "paw" on command at 14 weeks. I use a variety of treat bits so he won't get bored with them. Isn't it heartwarming see them progress like that!! Next I want to train Mac to "stay", "roll-over" , sit "pretty" and then to "wave bye" like his mother did when we took Mac home with us. ![]() What will you train yours to do next? |

and it wasn't that hard for me since she loves her belly rub so she doesn't have a problem rolling over...hehe... its too stinking cute...because she could be in the stand up position and i would say bang bang...the would shake first then slowing get down to an almost sitting position...lift one of her front paws and slowing fall backwards..until she is on her back...and that is how she completes her bang bang trick...hehe | |
