Default Chewing on Pee Pads

I thought these things were supposed to have smell that encourage these little guys to go potty on them. It seems more like they must smell like a toy or a treat! Both our little guys will chew and swing them back and forth while having them in their mouth. They also try to carry them over close to the couch where they usuauly lay and chew on chew toys.

Should I try some sort or tray that protects the pad from this? I am so lost in this respect because growing up I always had a yard to offer my pets for potty training. We are in a place with no yard close by so pads is my only option due to them having to go in the middle of the night while I am in my slumber.

Mine played with the disposable pee pads but leaves the washable ones alone. I love them. Have you tried them yet?

I'd try the washable ones and spray a little bitter apple on them. They won't like that

Good idea! Spray the bitter apple on the edges where they are most likely to grab it first. Hopefully that will do the trick.
