Default Recommendation for those who use pee pads

Hi everyone,

two weeks ago I ordered and received a Ugodog indoor potty. I was having problems with my 4 month old baby tearing up his pee pads when I left him alone in his ex pen. I then tried cloth pee pads but he would still wrestle with them and toss them around which got really messy!

But the ugodog has been working really well for us. It only took two days for him to become accustomed to it--and I save money b/c I only need to change the potty pad inside once a day, or can even use newspaper if I wanted to! (But i am sticking with the potty pad since they have plastic on the bottom). It's impossible for him to toss around or mess with. Also, it keeps his paws dry when he revisits it again and again throughout the day. He goes pee at least 15 times a day, so this has been a GREAT help. I recommend it to everyone who is potty training with pee pads!

more info here:

The funny thing is that he is so used to going pee on there that he holds his pee even when we go on walks for 40 minutes - and pees on the ugodog the minute we get back inside

Well I hate to rain on the parade, but I bought the wizdog, which is essentially the same thing, and neither one of my puppies catered to it. Lexie would go on it but didn't like it. It hurt her paws and it got kind of messy because they could still tug on the corner of the potty pad that would stick out because it wasn't designed exactly like the wizdog and pull it out and create a mess. 3 days of it in the x-pen and we've permanently switched to washable pee pads. Just food for thought...

I had both the Wiz Dog and the Pee Pee Dolly, essentially the same things, and Gracie would not touch either one.

Default Wiz Dogs

Ditto everyone on the Wiz Dogs..... I bought 2, and although Rusty used them, he hated them, probably because the little squares hurt his feet. Yes a number 2 did seep into the little squares making it an annoyance to clean.

Default UGODOG and Wizdog not the same thing

Some of you noted that your dogs do not like standing on the Wizdog, because it hurts their paws. That's because Wizdog uses a lighting louvre as the grate. The beams are thin and a bit sharp, and are not designed for paws.

UGODOG is different. It doesn't use lighting louvres. The grates of UGODOG are designed and manufactured specifically for paws with beams that are thick and convex in shape in order to cushion paws. That's probably why Hopeful43's dog had no problem getting atop UGODOG, while all of the others had problems with Wizdog.

It's also easier to clean UGODOG, because it has two smaller grates rather than one large one.

Default Pooch Pads

I haven't used either of the above mentioned products. I was using wee pads which got too expensive and my boys started tearing at the plastic bottoms and just running around the apartment with the wee pads, yes, even the used ones. So I saw Pooch pads and gave those a try. LOVE THEM! I have back ups so when I have a set in the wash I have a set down on the floor so they don't get confused. They don't run around the house with them and use them every time! Ok.. Just about every time! Just my 2 cents!

Hi JohnQ. Welcome to YT!
I went back and looked again at the other potty and it looked exactly like the Wizdog except the Wizdog is blue and the grate is one piece. I don't know about the kind of grates each have but my doggie got to where he would just creep up on the edges of the Wizdog and use them instead of climbing on. I assume the grate hurt his feet because of that.

Each yorkie is different and if the other potty works better then great! I wish the Wizdogs had worked as they were a waste of money for me and my Yorkie.

Rustysmom,

I'm one of the founders of UGODOG, and I can tell you that it was designed with the shortcomings of Wizdog in mind. That's why I know that they are different. You said you wished Wizdog had worked for you since you like the concept. If that's the case, you might want to give UGODOG a try. The UGODOG grates won't be uncomfortable for your pup's paws, and she might not mind being on it. If it doesn't work, send it back for a refund. Also, use PE92101 in the order code and you'll get a 10% discount for trying it.

Best,
JohnQ

Is this code still good? I am really looking into buying one of these for my Gwen and I was wondering if this discount still applies or not?

Thanks!
