sounds like you DEFINITLY need to crate them at night... it will suck the first few tnights but they will learn to hold it or cry and wake you up to go outside. They each need to be in their own crate and you need to stuff the back of the crate with blankets so they only have enough room to turn around and lay down. they won't want to pee/poop where they lay so they will wake you up at night to let you know they need out. As the weeks go on they will be able to hold it longer and longer until they can go all night.

DEFINITELY do what marcerella02 said. That's probably the easiest way to potty train. Good luck.

I would also buy a blacklight, an enzyme cleaner, and get access to a carpet shampooer so that you can start over from scratch. If the carpet still smells like potty, they'll continue to go there.

Honey I'm not gonna yell at U, I have 1 now that is 10 months old Sage and she is so so smart and so so stubbern!!! She is still potting in her crate and will not go on puppy pads out in the room, Sat morning I thought I would out smart her and sit in the room till she finally gave up and pottied well she got the best of me after 4 hours yes I said 4 hours of waiting I said that's it, put her in her crate with a puppy pad sure she pottied on it but also tore the thing all apart!!! I ended up putting her one of our carriers at night and she "Most of the time" won't potty in there, she is in her 1st heat and I'm wondering if maybe her being so head strong has something to so with her 1st heat??? But we're still working on it, now I have 2-8 month olds and they are great at not potting in their crates!! So I think it's just the temperment of our Yorkies that we have to learn to deal with and try to outsmart them. Try crating at night if that don't work try a carrier, the smaller the area the less likely they are to potty...That is on most! LOL! Hope this will help U and U're not alone on this matter!! Hugs, Lee

All 8 of mine sleep in their little crates at night. Carly puts herself to bed when she's done and all you have to tell Connor is to crate up and he's off to bed. Think of it as their own little room, their safe haven. Mine start spending the night in a crate when they are 10 weeks old. At first they share the crate with their mom in the puppy pen and than they begin to sleep in their own crate before they go to their new homes.

That's the way we do ours here!! It is so much easier for them to sleep like this and U know their not running around snoopin' and getting into things they shouldn't or getting hurt and U can get a good nights sleep!! LOL! (Well maybe!) We started out with the playpens but now in the crates except for the boys for now as soon as Sage is done with her heat they will join them back in here...I just hated that we was getting all of them to go into the living room to play together and knowing where to go potty and now they have to be separate for this time, I don't even let Sofie and Weeize around the boys I just don't want to torchere the boys with a female lol. I know alot of people are against the crates but there are just times when U can't be with them and this is the safest way to keep them from getting hurt, and when they are puppies they will eat just about anything they can get to, I know Teddy and Tiffanie chewed our baseboard in our living room and chewed my kitchen chair legs to pieces!!! So I learned the hard way crating at times is fine!!! I'm making the crate covers for them all and maybe that might help Miss Yappy!!!

Unhappy

I feel your pain! Zoe was completely potty trained but regressed when Peppee came. He has peed & pooped on the carpet. Then he peed on my blankets so it was no more sleeping with mom & dad. I felt bad for Peppee, not wanting him to have to sleep alone so I started letting Zoe and Peppee share a crate at night. I often wonder if they will ever be completely potty trained. I hate to see them ruining my carpets, (all are fairly new but one room)

I agree with everyone else. Zoe sleeps in her crate at night. I say, come on Zoe time for nite nite and she goes right in. And she never ever has an accident in it. Now during the day is a different story. She was doing wonderful until we got snow and she just doesn't like to go out when the weather is real cold or wet so that's been a challenge. I've actually had a diaper on her the last two days and that's been working so far. Wish me luck!

I have had Roxie for a month and she is 5 1/2 months old. I made the mistake of not crating her enough whern she first came home and for 2 weeks we had accidents everywhere. Now when I can't watch her, and she hasn't peed on the pad in the last hour or so she goes in the crate. She even goes in there if I am going into the front of the house for a minute. Usually she will come out and go on the pad. SO in 2 weeks of doing this she has started to use the pads on her own when she doesn't know I am watching her or if it has been awhile I say go potty on the pad and she goes most of the time. We still have occassional accidents but not many. I honestly thought their was something wrong with her mentally at first she just didn't get the idea of pottying on the pads, even though the others were using it to. I know I still have a ways to go but I am so less frustrated. So hang in there they eventually get it.

so glad to hear you are going to crate! make sure they go out before you put them in and then they will cry and cry... which is fine... they'll stop but keep an ear out during the night for them... when they cry let them out to pee/poop and them put them back in. You might be lucky and they wont' wake you to go and will just be able to hold it but praise them for lettign you know if they do wake up in the middle of the night! good luck they WILL learn to love their crates!

You can get an enzyme cleaner at any petstore. I get mine at Petsmart, and I use Simple Solution. There's also Nature's Miracle. Just look on the bottle and it should tell you whether or not there are enzymes present in the cleaner. The uric acid in urine binds to the carpet fibers and regular cleaners can't get that out. The enzymes are important because they actually engulf the bacteria that remains in your carpet, so that there are no traces of pee or poop left.
