Just to give you my little bit of input... My daughter rescued a Labradoodle from an extremely abusive situation some years ago (he would have been put to sleep that night - it was a nightmare). Luka has turned out to be THE most wonderful, gentle, caring dog you could ever wish to meet. He looks after my little granddaughter like another relative....for instance - if another person or dog approaches, then he circles her buggy, warding them off... I could tell you stories galore about his wonderfulness, but I don't want to bore you to tears... Suffice to say - I think you and your son have made the absolute BEST choice for the situation....and I wish you every happy thought in the world xxx

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Thanks again everyone! I'm really sad but I may not be able to pick up my puppy until Saturday😕 It's a long drive and I want someone to ride with me. It looks like no one can go with me until Saturday so I may have to wait😓 |

| Aw, I'm sorry. I know you've been waiting forever for that baby and having to wait longer still is just wrong. Praying this baby furball brings you all many smiles, laughs and joys. Nothing in the world quite like a new puppy.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | The waiting has been soooo hard. Saturday seems forever away even though it's only two more days. I pick her up Saturday around noon but it will take about 3 1/2 hours to get back home. My youngest daughter will be going with me. I'm crazy excited. I'm a little nervous because she is tracking to me on the small side, about 4 lbs. Bonnie is 5 pounds and I just can't imagine a smaller adult than 5 lbs. Her mom is 6.5 lbs and the dad is 5 lbs so I'm hoping she will hit a growth spurt later😊 My son left for his trip yesterday. This time it is 3 weeks in the Grand Canyon. He is so excited and happy to go. I see his "old" personality coming back. It makes me feel wonderful. the puppy he is waiting on is now 2 weeks old. He still hasn't named her because he wants to wait and see what her personality will be. I'm hoping to get post some pics soon so everyone can see her...she's a doll😀 He will be so happy to bring her home. |

I am so happy to hear your son is enjoying another wonderful trip!! Three weeks at the Grand Canyon...amazing! And even more thrilled you can see your son's personality as you know it to be! It is so heartwarming!

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | My son is having a great time. He has had some difficult moments adjusting (he never had motion sickness before but without his vision it's a problem). His girlfriend is working to make their apartment accessible to him when he returns. So things are good. I'm very happy to have Dixie home. She has settled in very well😀 |

| It's so good to hear your son is having a great time with his friends! Hope his equilibrium adjusts well for him. It wouldn't be something one would think about but it makes sense it would be off for a while. His girlfriend is wonderful for doing all she can to make things easier for him. Great lady, I would say!

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Things are still going okay. When he returns from his Grand Canyon trip, he is going to visit his brother in Washington DC for a week or so. Once he gets back, he will continue with his aide and in July he will get his puppy. He still has ups and downs but he seems to be handling things pretty well. I'm hoping he will be ready to return to school in the fall but he hasn't decided that yet. |

| Sounds like he's handling this better than so many do, ups and downs totally normal. He sounds like he's doing all he can to adapt to his new normal. Praying for him every time he comes to mind. I know getting his dog will be a big event so and I know you all can hardly wait.

| I wanted to let you know I have been thinking of your son and praying he is doing well. He must have had a wonderful time with his brother in D.C. Has he visited his puppy yet? Will love to hear about his pup and the name he picks, etc. Hugs to you all.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Thank you! My son is doing well. He was able to get on a clinical research study so he is there right now getting all the tests and things done that they want. He is supposed to get his pup on the 31st. It was supposed to be this week but since he is going to be doing this study, he is waiting until he comes back. He and his dad and girlfriend will be going on a road trip in late Aug. To visit all the places he wants to see before he loses the last of his sight in his right eye. When he comes back, be and his pup will begin training together. His spirits are good and he was told there is a slight chance he may keep some vision in his right eye. We are praying that he does but are still going forward as if he will not because there is no guarantee, just a small chance. Thank you again for your prayers. |
