| How Many Others Have Had a Positive Biopsy? Asking For Your Prayers. The biopsy was positive and I'll have to have surgery but supposedly it's contained and somehow the pathologist can tell it hasn't metatastasized, which is good news! They've made me an appointment to see the surgeon next Wednesday morning and get this thing out soon and if there are lots of calcifications through-out the area, potentially a mastectomy; if not, just this area will be excised. Then there will or won't be radiation therapy. I'm a bit numb right now. Encouragement and prayers will be so very much appreciated. Once again I have to tell that special YT member who's been PM'ing me daily since I learned I'd need the biopsy and supporting, commiserating with, preparing me and praying for me for the true lifeline she's been. What an amazing place YorkieTalk is and what amazing people are members here! I had no idea when I joined YT what it would turn out to mean to me.

| I'm so sorry to hear this. How scary this must be for you and your family. It sound like things have been caught early and surely that must mean a very good prognosis for you. |

| So they're doing a lumpectomy? Make sure they have clean margins before stitching you back up. Ask for it while your there in surgery. It can keep you from having to have another surgery later. Are they taking lymph nodes? You need to also know if what the remove is ERP, PRP, HER2, triple negative. Your dr will know what these things are (basically is it estrogen fed, progesterone fed, etc. what's making this grow??), and these answers also determine any treatments if needed. Do you mind me asking what hospital you'll be at?? I will gladly come sit and wait with you.... I don't mind at all. I've been exactly where you are numerous times, and I know just having someone there means a lot. Please message me if you want..... P.s. Also look into BRCA testing if you can. Breast cancer puts you at higher risk for ovarian, uterine and cervical cancers. And a ca-125 series.

| A little over two years ago Robyn, my better half, was diagnosed with stage 3B cervical cancer. Less than a year of chemo and radiation later, she was cancer free. It wasn't easy but she is alive and cancer free. You can do this! |

| Praying for a total removal of the cancer cells & swift recovery My mother had breast cancer in 1982. They did a mastectomy, determined it had not spread to the lymph nodes & she never had any radiation or chemo. She is still cancer free today at age 71. It sounds like you have an early diagnosis & that is wonderful.
