| Tornado victims Please keep my cousin and his wife in your prayers. They lost their house this afternoon to one of the tornados that went through central Illinois. I'm trying to find out if their dog made it but phone service is out along with internet. They have had alot of bad luck in the past 3 years and now this. Please keep them in your thoughts tonight and in the coming days when the shock wears off.

| Prayers going up for them and their little dog....this is a terrible situation when people loose their entire homes/memories/possessions/beloved pets/lives to Mother Nature. My father who grew up on a farm, used to tell me, "Dont be fooled....Mother Nature is a B*itch.....she is NOT your friend." Hurricane survivore, tornado survivors, flood survivore, fires caused by that "Fickle Finger of Fate, Lightening", farmers who have lost all their crops to drought, ranchers who have lost all their cattle to drought.......I am sure all would agree with that assessment. I hope everyone that is facing this night having lost homes, pets, family or friends is comforted in some way by the Grace of God.... |

| Just heard from my cousin's wife. They live on a farm north of Roanoke, IL. Their house is completely gone and they found their dog inside the rubble of the house. The dog was a wreck emotionally but no physical harm. We will be on our way this morning to help them ry to salvage what we can. They still have gas leaking and can't go near house until gas is shut off. Because they live in the country and not in a town , they are the last on the list for utilities to be shut off.

| I thought they were at church but when I talked to him he told me they were still at home and saw it coming. He broke his ankle a month ago and had to have pins and a plate put in so he still can't put weight on it. His wife drug him down the basement stairs and ran up to put the dog in the bathroom because the dog can't go down stairs and she was too heavy for his wife to carry. They heard the train sound and heard all the glass breaking. He said it lasted about a minute and when they went up the stairs there wasn't anything around them. They found the dog under sheetrock by the toilet unharmed. Everyone sees the damage in Washington, IL but this tornado stayed on the ground from Washington to Metamora to Roanoke to Benson to Minonk...about 80 miles of utter destruction. He said his wallet was on an end table in the living room - his drivers license and 2 credit cards were left on the floor and his wallet was gone. His wife had a pill case on the kitchen table and it was still there but the walls to the kitchen were gone. They at least were able to salvage their clothing and shoes but not much else. Both cars are still in the garage under debris.

| More prayers are going out to all those affected. I can't even begin to imagine what that type of destruction is like; seeing photos doesn't come close to actually being there. It is heartbreaking.

| Here is a picture of my cousin's house. They had about 2 minutes of warning that it was coming their way.
