As I posted above, my second surgery was two weeks ago tomorrow and I am doing pretty well. I don't know if I posted this or not...but no chemo! Two reasons for that...1. my anemia which has been an issue since my first go round with this insanity is persisting. It is basically staying the same but they keep a close eye on me because I have some cells that are borderline for MDS. And...2. because thankfully the nodes were negative. So, basically I am done for now other than every 3 month check ups for now. I go to the plastic surgeon on Thursday to have sutures removed...and am praying the one breast is healing ok. I cannot see the entire incision line...sometimes radiated tissue has healing issues. I had two mani/pedis with the money you sent!! ...thank you SO much...I almost called you one day while I was having them done. I am now starting to get the show stuff together....I am behind but do have some great people who are helping me these days and they all have offered to do more this year since lifting is out for now. I have to start this week on the raffle booklet...I still have some people sending things, so I am holding off a bit. One is a yorkie quilt that Michele is making...that should be very exciting...she does such lovely work. We have lots of great things this year! I am going to extend the deadline for the raffle donations...show donations can come in at any time before the show. I will definitely post the raffle here for people to see...and will post photos from the show. I went "live" last year on Facebook...wish I could do that here. Maybe I can do a video and upload to You Tube and put it here. Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers. I hope that all is well in your world.

My hip is pretty degraded and can barely walk, even with a cane or walker, as doc told me I'd need a new one ASAP the December B4 breast CA, in Feb., 2014, was it? Then, wasn't it that next June had colon CA surgery, surgeon said needed a one year clear colonoscopy B4 he's op. and I waited, hoping Danny could get back B4 scheduling and then had the stroke last fall so the hip's had to go unfixed way past its time. I've been unable to do much but get myself to the doctor and very rarely the grocery store until I have a new hip. Now ortho surgeon says wait until get a negative report from this June's colonoscopy and see my neurologist and cardiologist B4 returning to schedule hip replacement so I have been unable to get out and get you a great card or something else a little special. But I will! Kinda thought I'd wait a bit and surprise you with something - had no idea it would be this long a wait. I'll never forget that card you sent me after my lumpectomy - it meant the world to me. I was so scared during that time, alone, as Danny was working in Florida, and I don't know, your unexpected card really touched me. Said a lot about you that you took the time to pick out and send me a card! I haven't forgotten that, just wanted to pick you out a fancy card or gift - something special in person to send, so looks like I might have to just shop online as my time in the grocery store is SO totally short and unfun I never make it to the gift or pharmacy section, but get my fresh foods, get home and off the hip, pack it w/icebags ASAP.

| Linda, I agree with everyone else, you are one awesome lady and an inspiration to all. I'm so happy that you enjoyed the mani/pedi's. We took the pups to the vet today for their yearly checkups and found out that our vet had breast cancer last year. Fortunately it was caught early and she is doing well. Scary stuff. It sounds like the worst part is behind you, I sure hope so. I will keep you and the pups in my prayers. Jeanie, dear Lady, you have been through so much. You are an inspiration too. Hugs and prayers for you. Jean

YT 2000 Club Member | Linda Any time someone has battled cancer they develop a new attitude. People become so precious and every day is special. We are all on this journey through life and if we can lift one persons spirits when they are down we have done a huge blessing to them. Cancer causes us to focus on the beauty inside us . On the love around us. On the dogs who love us hair or no hair. Linda you are beautiful and your battle has touched my heart. Keep looking up. Great blessings to come to you from the Lorď of all Jesus. Last edited by sandy simpson; 06-02-2017 at 07:01 PM. Reason: Spelling |

| Yay on the nodes being negative Linda! Not having chemo must be a relief. My mom really didn't want to have to do it either time and thankfully her nodes came back clean both times so it wasn't advised. I love your avatar pic with the wig btw. It makes me laugh every time I see it.
