| Update on Alex Well we went to the doctor today. The good news is the infection seems to be going away and the knee is healing. The bad news is the swelling is still there. The swelling is caused by fluid in his knee. His knee is about twice the size it should be. To make a long story short, they are going to leave it alone for now and see what happens. They are hoping it will go away on its own. But I have to take him back in a month and they will re evaluate it then. So basically, we will know more in a month. I am going to research the swelling issue. I am not sure I understand what the deal is with it. But I have to trust the doctors know what they are doing.

♥Trained by my pups♥ Donating YT 500 Club Member | me too still waiting for dh to be able to walk So I totally understand. Guessing they think in time it will dissolve (the extra fluid) I bet he is getting very tired of it also. Hopefully when summer is in full swing he will be up and all better. Sending more prayers for a speedy recovery

| They need to diagnose the cause of the swelling.

| I'm glad to hear that Alex's infection is clearing. Do you think a cold compress would help with the swelling? I would ask the Dr. before doing that though. I hope and pray that he has a speedy recovery. Hugs to you both. |

| Oh..bless you both, I know the waiting is so hard and then hearing...the let's wait another month..is really disappointing, I'm sorry. The plus side is the infection has improved and that's a big positive. Continuing prayers for further improvement. Sending lots of hugs to you both.

| I'm happy to hear that the infection is almost gone, but sorry to hear about the swelling. How frustrating to have to wait and see. I wanted this to be done for you and Alex. He will remain in my prayers.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Sorry to hear about the swelling. My DD has RA and her knee fills up with fluid all the time. Her rheumatologist drains it in minutes. I would see if this is an option for Alex or something only done on people.

| Glad that the infection is clearing. It's so frustrating to have to wait to find out what is going on, sometimes the waiting is more stressful. We'll be sending good thoughts and prayers.

| Still swollen and a little red. I am thinking about going to see our regular doctor again to get his opinion.
