| Please pray for my brother in law My husbands brother Louis is 45 years old and was recently diagnosed with stage 2 throat cancer. There is a lot of swelling in his throat so they are unable to see exactly how many spots there are so the diagnosis of stage 2 is pending on when the swelling goes down and if they are able to find more cancer. He has only had one week of radiation so far and he has many sores in his throat already and is in a lot of pain. He is feeling very down and unsure of what is to come which makes me nervous because I know a positive attitude is needed and he is not able to be positive right now. We are hoping for the best and that he will beat this!!!! Prayers are appreciated!! Thank you!!!

| My prayers are with you and your family. My vetenarian (close friend for 20 years) was diagnosed with Stage 4 throat cancer last year, his was from acid reflux. He had 6 months or more of radiation treatments ( he worked everyday during treatments) he said he was afraid to just quit, he is now completely cancer free and does not have to go back to doctor for 6 months. He is 50 years old. I think being around the animals he loves was a blessing. Praying your BIL will have the strength to fight this battle with the love and support from his friends and family.

Oh thank you it always helps to hear stories with a good ending and I will be sure to relay that to him. I just worry that he is so down and he just started. I believe in the power of prayer and a good positive attitude and he is having a hard time being positive. Thank you!!!!!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I am so sorry. I will keep him in my prayers. My Dh was diagnosed about 4 weeks ago with stage 4 lung cancer and when anyone asked how he was he said dieing. I know all the prayers and telling him of others who have shared their success stories with me have helped him be more positive. I hope your BIL can find the strength to fight it and stay hopeful.

I just hope and pray that he has the strength to fight and beat this. His background story is quite a tragic one: About 15 years ago he and his wife lost two children in a house fire-they were both blown out of the house and Louis (barefooted) went back and was able to get one of the children out (one of a set of twin boys) who was severely burned and they lost the other twin boy and an 18 month old girl. Louis had burns on his feet and had some damage to his lungs and throat from the smoke. He is a smoker but they think part of this cancer may be from the damage he had from the smoke too. Their son Justin is now 23 or 24 and he still has to have surgeries every few years to stretch his skin from the burns on his face and upper body-I believe 85% of his body was burned. Needless to say both he and his wife have had bouts of depression and now this...so it's just so hard for him to be positive! I pray for your DH and that he will have a full recovery because I know it's possible!!!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Ann that is so tragic. You wonder how much one family can handle. One of the stories I told my DH was about your SIL mother and I know hearing these success stories have made a difference. I will keep you BIL and family in my prayers.
