| I am sorry to come back so soon but.... My grandma has been very sick lately. Well not physically sick but mentally sick. She has lost her mind. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and doesn't remember most of us, If she does remember us she mixes up our names. It is not only her memory but she has become aggressive lately. We had to take her to the hospital last night and she just kept screaming that people were shooting us, to get down because they were going to kill us. When the doctor came she started hitting him, once she became calm she started crying hysterically that her children were all dead, when we are all standing around her. It was very sad because she started asking about her father (She is 79 and her dad has been dead for almost 25 years), she kept telling us that her father was there and that he was holding her had. She was absolute delirious. She has also made imaginary friends, she keeps talking to a wall and she tell us that there is an old lady that is talking to her. It has been very emotionally straining on everyone especially my grandpa (her husband) to see here like that because she was always a very strong and smart woman. We are not sure what to do yet, we all agreed that she can't be at home acting like that because she has taken to going outside and wandering around. Just 3 days ago my Grandpa went to go get her some lunch and when he got back she was gone. He found her 2 blocks away sitting next to a trash can and talking about how her "friend" was singing to her. It is very sad to see someone in that mental stage. I ask if you could please pray for my grandma and my family during this tough time, but especially my grandfather since he is taking this very hard.

| I'm so sorry for what your grandmother and your family are going through! My great grandma moved in with us when I was 8 due to her Alzheimers. Over the course of the next 6 years she progressed to much the same point as your grandmother (wandering and aggressive). It was really hard for us because we had to be "on watch" all the time. My great grandma mostly wandered at night so we had to set up a system with bells on her door in case she tried to leave and even then she still made it out to the yard twice before anyone realized it. She got terribly agressive with my grandfather (her son in law) and tried to stab him with a pair of scissors she found and hid. Just keep doing the best you can and please feel free to PM me if you need to talk with someone who's been there before. I'm sending prayers for your whole family!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I will keep her in my prayers. My dad has dementia and he thinks people live under his bed and come in and steal al his stuff. We have him under the care of an geriatric psychiatrist and the meds he put him on helped alot. I hope they can help your grandma.

| I'm so sorry about your grandma. My grandma also has Alzheimer's. What my mom & my aunt/uncles decided to do was to put my grandma in a nursing home. My grandpa died about 15 yrs ago & she had been living alone since then, I really think her being in the nursing home has helped her. At least now she isn't lonely and she has nurses to watch her at all times. She was just alot for them to handle and they didn't know how to handle her and she surely couldn't stay alone anymore. It's really hard watching someone so close to you not even know you are anymore. Prayers go out to you & your grandparents. |

| How sad for your grandmother, it is painful for you & your family to see her like this. It's so good that you came here for prayers, nothing like people gathered together to pray for someone, prayers lift you up, may God be a blanket of comfort over your grandmother & your family. Stay strong

| She was just diagnosed with dementia today. They are keeping her in the hospital until they are sure that the medications they are going to give her will work. Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | There is nothing we can say to make things better for you and your family, only the fact that many of us have been in similar situations with our love ones at least makes you feel like you are not along .There are a lot of support groups for family members, many of them you can contact online. Prayers going to you and your family
