Donating YT 2000 Club Member | San Antonio-Going Next Week Anyone know if Jaxon will be welcome at the Riverwalk? I have a stroller & a purse that he can't be detected in. We are flying out on Wed 4/4 - it is his 1st flight-any help with ideas on keeping him calm in the carrier for 2 1/2 hours? Thanks-Kay

| Yes, the riverwalk is very pet friendly!!! Most of the resturants allow pets if you sit outside (which you would anyways) and they are leashed and well behaved. You can also take them to the Alamo and alot of other places. If you want to got to Six Flags Fiesta Texas, they have a dog boarding facility on location. |

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | Sorry, if i would've read further I would have saw that they are welcomed.!!! Does anyone know of the outside dining there-which ones for sure accept pets? Also-call the hotel directly-one on the list that says they accept pets, told me they no longer do.

| I believe most of them due. You actually walk thru most of the resturants while you are walking down the river because most of the sitting in on the riverwalk itself. It pretty cool!!! San Antonio is one my favorite cities to visit. I would carrier a carrier with you if you wanna do some shopping. I have friend who lives is SA and her and her DH take their boxer to the riverwalk all of the time with no problems besides some the gift shops frown on big dogs in their stores. |

| Well, we have never taken Amber to the River only because she is scared of all the people and they all want to pet her and all. But there is this really cool pet park that is having there Grand opening this weekend March 31st and your Jaxon can run off the leash if he likes the other dogs. http://www.sanantonio.gov/sapar/dogpark.asp Last edited by levand16; 03-27-2007 at 01:45 PM. |

| Hi guys~ We attened the official grand opening of the McAllister dog park. There was a live band, Pooh Paraded, the mobile spa, Lucy's doggie daycare, adoptions and occurs the dogs!! Our Lab had a great time but our lil Yorkie did not care much for all the wood chips every where. http://www.sanantonio.gov/sapar/dogpark.asp |

| Sorry about the web page but try this http://www.sanantonio.gov/sapar/dogpark.asp From that page go to HOME, then Recreation tab and find Parks and Recreation, on the Left under the Home tab you will see Dog Park click there. Or when you go to the Parks and Recreation scroll all the way down and there is the Kite Festival, Dog Park festivities set to celebrate McAllister Park improvements. Hope that works for you. |
