| Jobs in Texas Does anyone have a lead on a job that our dear Villette could apply for. She is an administrative assistant. (And a darned good one at that!) |

| Hey Lou...I just did a simple search on the internet for administrative assistant jobs in Texas and it brought up several pages of results...maybe she could try that. Also, check the web pages of towns and counties, they advertise jobs in their areas. Many places only advertise on their own web pages or through their Human Resource office so if there is a place she is interested in she can do a more specific search for that information. Could her last employer possibly help her? My friend worked for a Dr. who retired and before he left he helped place his staff in other offices. Maybe her former employer knows of something. Good luck! |

| My company has an office in Houston. I'll email a few of the people I know there and see if they know of any openings around town.

| She should also try calling the local colleges and see if she could look thru their want ads. A lot of companies will look for candidates there. While it might be entry level, maybe it could lead to at least getting her resume into the door and find something.

| She may want to try craigslist...A LOT of companies have listings on there now. I'm in the medical field and always look on there ...you never know when that perfect job comes along!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | My daughter found a job on Craigslist so maybe that will give her some leads. Maybe try working as a temp a lot of times they end up hiring the person full time.

YT 1000 Club Member | I was going to suggest going to temp agencies. I got one of my last jobs through a temp agency and it turned into a full time job. They sometimes want to "try" you out before they will hire you! Also look on Monster.com. They have some good jobs there sometimes also.
