San Marcos Groomer? Anyone from the San Marcos area know a good Yorkie groomer? Lily is just a puppy but she was getting very shaggy so I got her a puppy trim for her face, feet, and girly area..nothing too serious so I wasn't worried or nervous until.......I picked her up just a little bit ago and the poor thing just looks scalped they cut around her eyes REALLY short and her eyebrows are very chopped and short (she kind of resembles and owl with the short hair around her eyes in a circle) and they didn't get that eye booger stuff out of her eyes so it is dried up and crusty. I didn't even want to look but when I flipped her over to see her girly bits they were scalped too!! My poor dog just got her first brazilian wax she is buzzed from her belly to her tail! They even snipped that hair on her ahmm you know (I had always heard they needed that where it was) I am def. going to have to either find a different groomer (anyone from San Marcos, TX please PM with a good one) or learn to do it myself. I am just glad I didn't get them to do her whole body..hopefully her face hair will grow back quickly. I guess on the bright side her feet look ok..

I hvae an excellent groomer to reccomend to you. It's actually a vet's office that has an onsite groomer. And they are awesome. If you don't already have a vet, I would reccomend them for vet services as well. It is called Four Paws Animal Clinic. When I took Abbey there they introduced us to the groomer and she is very experienced with small breed dogs. And they are also very nice. They have a website at: Four Paws Veterinary Hospital Home It has prices/staff info/directions. It is technically in San Marcos but it is more out towards Wimberly. YOu just go strait down RR12 and it's on the left. Really not far. Hope this helps!! Also-where did you take you dog first where they butchered her? Just so I know to avoid it at all costs!

Hey, I'm in San Marcos too... Hatton goes to the doggy park everyonce in a while, but I would love to get him together with other yorkies... he's never socialized with another yorkie before! I know this is an old post, but if anyone ever wants to get their babies together let me know!

I live in San Marcos too! The only dog grooming place I know that I would assume is good is at Williams Veterinary Clinic (Dr.Williams used to be the owner but Todd now owns it...they both work there). I have seen many pretty pups walk out of there! Its off of Hunter road...the address is: 150 Quail Run. San Marcos, TX 78666 512-396-1996 The people there are very nice! Hope this helps

I just rescued my baby from the PAWS shelter in Kyle and I would love to introduce him to some other yorkies! He is about 1 or 2 *so said the shelter*, very sweet, and playful. What park do you take him to? | |

The dog park I assume everyone is talking about is across from Walgreens and the TSU baseball fields. I see a lot of dogs (and their owners) around there. The only reason I don't go is there is I am always afraid of what other dogs may spread... a lot of dogs don't have their shots and may have worms or parvo which are easily spreadable through feces. But all the dogs and owners that go always seem to be having fun!
