Luvs Lulu Donating Member | First and foremost...Welcome to YT. I suggest having the pre-op bloodwork done to be sure that he is fine for the surgery. When he comes home he will be groggy and out of it for the first day. A little pain med goes a long way. He will be fine the next day but a bit sore. So be sure to give him the follow up meds and not let him jump around. After his suture removal it will be fine to give him a bath. Good luck and hope all goes well for you both.

| Hi! I know how you feel Meeko was just neutered on Friday! I was a nervous wreck!!! He did great tho. He layed around most of the day. He was a little crazy when he first saw me and my bf but, i kept telling him to sit and lay down. I wanted him to rest. They said he might not want to eat but, he ate a lot. I'm still asking him to lay down. I'm scared he might rip the stitches but, he wants to play. try not to worry too much, he'll do fine!

| Oh yea! DEFINITELY!!! get him a onsie! They are so much better than the e-collars! If your little guy isn't use to wearing clothes, I'd go out and get one and have him wear it for a few days. Meeko hated the e-collar. He wouldn't clear it when he was walking out the door or it's drag on the floor. He peed in it once and I had to put it back on till I washed it and he looked so miserable. After I took it off he went crazy running, he was free! It's worth it tho!

| Welcome to the site. Hot Rod was very tired and sleepy right after his surgery, but he also had 14 teeth removed. He sleep for about the first 2 days after. He was back to jumping around after that...it was hard to keep him from doing that but he was pretty much fine. Good luck with your little guy.
