Thanks!! He's actually in Murphy. I've got someone in Ft. Worth who will go get him if necessary. I finally called the number on the tag myself. He got a rabie shot in Garland at Banfield in October and he is registered to someone in Murphy but they would not give me the address said only to the police or licensed vet. Called the police who said they couldn't get through to anyone. We made it very clear that this dog would not go to the vet and that we would keep the dog until the owner could be found or just keep him.

My niece will keep him for now, she's off tomorrow and will try to find the owner. The police said they would scan him for a chip tomorrow.

Right now he's just scared and yippy. He's fine if she holds him. he's about 3 lbs.

Thanks for your help

I have a friend in Frisco but she's leaving sometime this week (not sure which day) to go out of town on a business trip. I hope his owner can be found. Has he been scanned for a microchip?

Update: I called the 800 # and found out the dogs name is Rocky. The ding dong cop didn't ask for the address. So I asked them to call the police back and give it to him. Dork

Ask the people at Banfield to call the owners -- they must have their number if he had a rabies shot there -- and have them call the person who has the dog.

Go to www.frisco-online.com and go through the log-in process. Once you're in, go to Forums, then Pet Place, then Lost and Found Pets. You can advertise this little guy there. As you will see, a lot of dogs are reunited with their owners through that board.

If the time to get approved for the log-in is too long, pm me and I can post a message for you.

We tried the vet was closed and the people who answered the 800 number from the rabies tag were in Portland and said there was no phone number for it. Waiting for vet to open among other things posted in other threads.

Ditto! I think everyone here is SO wonderful with the babies and especially when they find them and trying so diligently to find their owners!
