| Florida members...a little help if you can please. We've been thinking of moving back to Florida or at least finding an area where we'd like to spend the winter. We lived in Ocala before but there were issues with loooong waits in the ER at most of the area hospitals. Is that the case in all areas of Florida? Have any of you found the opposite in your area? We're not sure where we want to go yet but we'll be back in Ocala for a month or so this fall and we'll be checking some different areas. Any suggestions or advice? |

| Hi, I'm in Lakeland and and the ER waits are long here too. The same can be said for the Pensacola area too. I'm beginning to think that's the case every where!! |

| I woudl say that almost all the hospitals in florida are like that. I've liveed in the miami/ft. lauderdale area, and now I live in Tampa. But all the hospitals have very long waits Sometimes you get lucky and are taken within an hour, but most of the time it's a 3 hour wait. Only if it;s something really serious, do they take you in a timely manner. PS: If you're looking for a place to spend the winter, I would suggest Coral Springs. It's down by the Ft. Lauderdale area in Broward County. It's a really nice area. I've lived my whole live before college and I loved it. It's also only 20 minutes to the beaches and only 20 minutes to Ft. Lauderdale, and about 30 minutes to miami, depending on which part you want to go to.
