Hello Everyone,
My name is Dianne and I'm a new member of YorkieTalk in the Ft. Lauderdale area. I'm excited to be here and talk with other yoyo's! I am involved in Yorkie Rescue as a member of United Yorkie Rescue and usually there's a foster pup or two around my home. Hubby and I have four yorkies of our own, one maltese mix and a blind cocker spaniel - all of our dogs are rescues - they're the greatest!

I would enjoy talking especially with other Florida yorkie lovers so that we can network with one another. Look forward to meeting you on-line!

Thanks for your response (yes, we are ALL sweating here in Florida - sohot and humid - ugh!). I'm not sure where Spring Hill is, but I would love to know about how many FL members we have on YorkieTalk. It would be great for us to keep in touch with one another.

Asia and I are in Tallahassee and yes it is very hot. My step-father had 2 rescued Yorkies. He thinks they are the greatest and now with Asia I do too.

Huggz, Kizsez and I also live in the Ft. Lauderdale area.....and very happy to be able to come and visit this and all of the other YT sites and read all of the wonderful and informational mailings found here. Thank you.....
I am somewhat new on this site....I come in and check out all the news often but I have not written too much....am trying to improve that too....
I enjoy reading all the forum messages so much that I forget to post.....

My Kizsez is 3 y/0 and Huggz is also 3. Kizsez is my very first pup and Huggz actually belongs to my daughter. It would be nice to meet you and any of the other nice mommies and their pupsters in the area.

Hello Esbit,
Maybe one day I can "host" a bit of a get-together for everyone in South Florida to get together! That would be so much fun and then we can meet those folks who we have only known by their "screen names".

I've just formed a yorkie club here in The Villages, FL (Lady Lake) and we have had a ton of response to it!

Hi, My name is Donna and my husband and I live with our little Yorkie, Abbey, in Debary which is a small town just north of Sanford, FL. This is my first post although I've been checking in regularly since we finally decided to get a pup. Abbey is 7 months old and we still have training issues. She won't come when called and although she potties outside whenever we take her, she pees and poops regularly inside if we are the least bit lax in getting her out often enough. The funny thing is, we can leave her in the kitchen and go for 4-5 hours and she won't go, but if we're home, she seems to think nothing of going potty in there! I just can't figure it out. Yesterday she pooped on the rug in front of the sink WHILE I WAS DOING DISHES!!!! It's like she hasn't made the connection yet. She's smart as a whip but just seems to ignore me when I call her unless she thinks we're going to play, and yet learned sit and down in minutes! Truth me told, she only does it when she's getting a treat, but I know she knows what it means! Anyway, sorry for the long post but I'm a yakker! Thanks for listening!

I'm also new to the group and live in Pembroke Pines, Fl. I have a 14 week little boy named Moxie. Would love to get together with other Yorkie owners. I'm also looking to find a good obediance class in the area anyone have any suggestions?
