| Yorkie has itchy ears suddenly Hello, I am new to this forum and my 9 month old Yorkie (Tiger) has all of a sudden developed very itchy ears. It seems to bother him mostly at night. Any adivie would be appreciated. Thanks! |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | He may have ear mites. The vet can tell for sure. Easily taken care of with medicine you put in their ears a couple of times a day.

Donating YT 14K Club Member | WELCOME TO YT! I agree with the ear mite thing. Check the inside of the ears. If you see little grits of dirt it's probably ear mites. If you don't see anything but notice an unpleasant/foul smell, could just be a yeast infection in the ears. A vet will bet able to properly diagnose and treat ear problems.

| itchy ears My dog had itchy ears once and the doctor said that she had an ear infection. when I bathe her, I am suppose to put cotton balls in her ears so that water won't get into them. |
