| Potty training? I have been trying to crate train my 16 week yorkie for a month now but no success. I limited her space in her crate. But she still uses the bathroom in it. I even take her out at least every hour. I thought about puppy pad training her. Need help! I am new to this site as well. I could use some advice. |

| Well you should def put a pad down.. My Yorkie is 6 years old and I don’t expect him to hold his pee/poo while I’m at work. They have such small bladders, them holding pee is really not good for them. When Peanut was a puppy his crate was big enough where on one side he had his bed then on the other side I had a pee pad.. I also had food and a water bottle ( hamster bottle) hooked on the cage- this gave him more room in his crate and I didn't have to worry about him spilling it. Another option is getting a Xpen, that way you can put a pee pad, food water toys bed blankets.. and she can have more room to move around and play if she wanted to. P.s Welcome to YT!!

YT 500 Club Member | Yorkies are a hard breed to potty train. I've tried EVERYTHING with no success either. I can leave my Maltese home for hours and he want pee or anything. Hasn't peed in the house since he was 7 months. And he's almost two now. I'm just happy I don't have carpet in the main areas |
