| Moving to SC Hello. My family and I are relocating to Northern SC the beginning part of next year. I would love to make some new friends in the area. If anyone in that area has any suggestions that can help this be a less stressful move for my little ones I greatly appreciate it. Thank you Last edited by jltwigg10; 11-03-2011 at 08:30 AM. | Keep their blankies, toys and chewy's with them at all times. Don't wash them before your trip. Make everything fun for them, the new house, yard and all. Play music while your unpacking and settling in. After you get settled, join a church and a couple of volunteer clubs. Invite a few people you meet to your house for lunch. Also ask if they would like to start meeting somewhere for lunch once a month.
