| Good groomer in Gastonia, NC area Hi, Can someone in the area please suggest a good groomer for Scooter? The ones that I've had in the last 5-6 yrs have not done a very good job. I took him to the vet for a few years but he had to stay all day and I don't like that. Took him to PetSmart the last 2 times and they did a terrible job. I'm almost ready to invest in supplies and try it myself.

| i'm in a similar situation in charlotte. i've been taking coco to one place since he was a puppy, but i'm beginning to not like them so much. i have to leave him there for 3+ hours and even though i realize this might be the norm, i hate not being able to see what they do to him all that time. i heard Pawtique in south charlotte started doing grooming. that's where i get coco's food so i might check it out. i don't know if that's too far for you. like you, i'm thinking about cutting his hair myself.

| that is a bit far for me to go since i live west of gastonia, near kings mt. i found some good info that might help you though. under regional, pg. 3, title 'groomer in charlotte' and under the forum Yorkie Grooming Talk. the latter has some good tips on the type of tools to buy plus grooming techniques. we've tried to groom scooter in the past and it's not an easy task. he's 11 now, has eye problems, collapsal trachea, and a knee cap that pops in and out. the answer for me might be better if i groom him myself. btw.. coco is adorable!
