| Barkapalooza 2008 (Sunrise FL) It's the return of BARKAPALOOZA 2008 at Markham Park in Sunrise FOR TWO FUN-FILLED DAYS! Saturday February 9th Sunday, February 10th BARKAPALOOZA is FREE, but there is a $1.50 gate admission fee per person (over the age of 5) at Markham Park 16001 W. State Road 84 Sunrise, FL 33326 Check it out at: http://coastfm.com/petapalooza/ Saturday and Sunday, February 9 and 10, 2008, Markham Park Miami's 97.3 The COAST (WFLC) and Broward County Parks and Recreation Division have prepared an incredible second annual BARKAPALOOZA (formerly PETAPALOOZA) event on Saturday and Sunday, February 9-10, 2008, at Markham Park in Sunrise. Families can enjoy two days of fun filled with pet activities for the entire family, including the "barking" children! This is a FREE event for everyone, although the park gate admission (except children under age 5) will be in effect. If you are looking for a pet, this event will provide you with a one-stop pet adoption opportunity as there will be many rescue groups and animal agencies on hand with homeless companions looking for a family to love! Besides adoption groups, many pet organizations will be on hand to share information on community programs and resources that are available to you and your companion animals. There will be exhibitors and vendors available, plus food and beverages for sale. Nationally known pet psychic Diane Roadcap will be on site both days conducting pet readings. The South Florida K-9 Frisbee champions will be conducting demonstrations and interactive clinics all weekend long.
