| If you buy a Yorkie for that cheap then you run the risk of buying from a puppy mill or from a backyard breeder. Your best bet is to save up some money, learn all you can about them and then buy one from a reputable breeder. That will potentially save you money in the future. It's not only the cost to purchase the Yorkie in the first place, you also need to consider the usual Vet bills, food and any emergency visits to the vet the dog may have to make. |

| As Lillium said, you have to consider the cost of owning a dog over hopefully a fifteen year lifetime. If you are struggling with the purchase price, you are not financially ready for a dog. Please do not make the mistake of buying a "bargain" puppy for a few hundred dollars. More than likely it will have inherited health problems that can run into the thousands to correct like liver disease, luxating patellas, to name a few. Here is a sobering article about the cost of owning a dog. It's a pretty conservative estimate IMO. http://www.peteducation.com/article....articleid=1543 |

| You won't find a yorkie from a reputable breeder for $300. In fact it would be hard to find one for less than $1000 from a reputable breeder. If you have money for vet bills and the care of a yorkie you should look into rescuing a yorkie. Other than that you will just have to save up money to get one. But there are a lot of adorable yorkie rescues out there who are in need of homes. Just make sure you get them from a reputable shelter or organization. Here are some yorkies rescues looking for good homes in the Florida area. http://search.petfinder.com/search/s...ip=Tampa%2C+FL There are a lot of them and the adoption fee is usually around $200-$300. You have to send in an application to see if you will be approved to adopt. Good luck with your search!!

| Thanks for the replies, I know it was asking to much for that price. I just wanted to know just maybe their was one out there for that price. I did my research on Yorkies and I am fully aware on how to take care of them, and aware of vet bills... Thank you for your inputs! |

| I wish you the best of luck in your search... However, before this year, I wanted a Yorkie for over 10 years and I've never, ever seen a price that low for a true Yorkie. I do know that geographics matter, however, I just dont think is possible (JMO). As another stated, if your paying that price, I think you'd be compromising the quality of the dog. The best thing to do is save up your money and when the time is right, you'll be able to purchase the pup you desire. If your really want it, it will happen for you

| There was someone selling Yorkies for about 350 in Florida about a month ago. You might want to check the Yorkies for sale ads.

| Don't get discouraged...you'll find your Yorkie when the time is right. I bought my little male, Riley, in Florida and at 15 weeks he was only $500.00. My Riley is AKC registered, 4 pounds, silk coat and beautiful...they're out there. |
