Urgent!!! - YorkieTalk.com Forums

I was on YT Friday afternoon & everything was going fine. When I got ready to post a message, the website gave me the "page cannot be displayed" and I can no longer access YorkieTalk.com from my home computer. I am now using a laptop & have no trouble accessing the page or my account. I can access any other website requested from my home computer, just not YorkieTalk. My son who is in the computer field has tried running spyware removal, clearing history & temp folders, downloading & using multiple web browsers, cleaning the registry, and multiple other things with NO SUCCESS. We were wondering if you had any thoughts or if anything has happened on your end to block my home computer, while keeping my account active & able to access from another computer. If you have any ideas, PLEASE e-mail me at "fraimfam@sbcglobal.net". Thank-you! This has been so frustrating to not be able to get on all week-end until my son brought his lap top for me to use!!!

mabee the admin has some ideas !

This IS urgent, browniesmom622! I told my husband that if it is my computer, we will just have to go buy a new one!

It is just the strangest deal - I can access any freakin' website except YT!!!!!! Two computer guys working on it & have never seen this problem before!!!

There has been a trouble ticket opened with our Web hosts and the routing issue is currently being worked on. Is your home computer using the same DSL or cable modem connection as your son's laptop? If you can get on with the same connection but only using his computer, then there is a DNS issue, which you should be able to solve by changing DNS servers on your computer.

Thank you for alerting us of your problem, we definitely want to be sure all of our valued members can access us!

I would definitely say you have an urgent problem!! More like a freakin' nightmare!!! I would have to go sit at the library all day long if I couldn't get on here

He actually has a sprint wireless card that isn't using our network. He said that he thinks this could be our problem because he has looked at just about everything that he could possibly think of to fix this. He thinks that there is something on my computer that is preventing my connection to the site. What should i change the DNS server too? If you could point me in the right direction i would really appreciate it.

Not sure what has happened - but I am now able to access YT from my home computer. For some reason I have not been able to since Friday afternoon & then suddenly this afternoon I got an e-mail of someone's post (which I haven't received any since Friday afternoon) & once I tried to access YT website, I connected!!! YEAH!!!

I have been having the same trouble since last Thursday. I drop kicked my computer into the wall and it is now working.

Really I don't know what I did, but I fixed it. I did run my spyware, and it said something about my homepage being hijacked. I just reset everything and now I am up and running.

I have been having withdrawl from not being able to get on this site.[/b]

I had the same problem. I guess it was a routing issue with sbc/ameritech service providers. I got on thru a proxy server. I'm glad its all back to normal!!

Yup, we think everything is back to normal, we haven't had any reports of people not being able to access us since this afternoon!

I had the same problem. Today is the first day that I have been able to get to the site!

all good here, finally!

first time on this forum since Friday or Saturday.
no problems visiting other sites/forums at that time, so we had a little panic attack thinking we had lost some new friends already!

good work, to all involved in keeping this place online!

I was having the exact same problem since last Thursday -- I have SBC dsl service too, and I couldn't get on the site and wasn't getting any e-mails. I was so ecstatic yesterday when it was fixed. I had tried everything I could think of, clearing cookings, deleting files, etc. I had actually thought maybe someone had decided they didn't like me here and had asked for my computer to be blocked.

LOL. Glad to know it was just a ISP computer issue.
