| More Moderators For a site this HUGE, I think that YT should think about electing some more moderators. I'm on many different forums where there are more moderators, and a heck of a lot less members! There has been a lot of recent bantering back and forth, and I know that with tons of active members admin and the current moderators can not get to the threads fast enough or even at all. I can totally understand that! So, I believe that to make YT an even friendlier place to be, more moderators should be added. Thank you for letting me state my 2 cents!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Wow I was thinking the site was doing pretty well Simonandhallie has a really good handle on it - she's done an awesome job and same with admin....I think there's lots of people that alert them when there's a questionable thread....so actually there IS alot of moderators - they just don't have titles I've been on yorkie sites for over 3 years now and this site is one of the best .....I've seen some that just plain suck - then some that are always nice - but for the amount of people here - I think they handle the volume pretty well - not arguing with you girl - just offering another opinion from someone who's here everyday |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I agree with you Villette 100%, the moderators and admin on this site are doing a great job, regardless of the size of the site. Brings to mind the old saying - "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". There are other sites out there with fewer members, and more moderators, that would do well to take lessons from here. One site in particular the members seem to want to take info from here and post there just for the purpose of bashing our members. Maybe those sites need more scrutiny?

| One or two moderators for a site this big isn't enough. I didn't say anyone wasn't doing their job I just meant to take the weight off some people's shoulders. I've read a lot of posts lately of newbies getting jumped on, and then wanting to leave. Or the breeding section? That gets really nasty. Maybe I'm just more sensitive then some.

| I am going to say again, the forums that most of the nastiness is one wouldn't be that way if people who have no sincere interest in purchasing a puppy would just stay out of the for sale thread. seems to me that there are a handful of people that just troll the for sale forum looking for something to say and they have no interest in buying at all. If i were administration i would put a sticky at the top of that page telling people to only reply if they are interested in a puppy. I have seen it on other forums and it works pretty well. No nastiness. The breeders forum? well, as a new breeder I have been on the receiving end of a few smart comments myself but I am now on that persons "Ignore" list and she is on mine. I do think that the site administrators here do a fantastic job. I just wish they would stop some of these posters that interject where they shouldn't even be as soon as they start. |

| There's another yorkie site? LOL. After I found this one....was no need for me to keep looking!!! I haven't paid much attention to how many moderators there really are here. I know there's always a buttload of folks here! Its the biggest site I've ever had the pleasure of being a member of! The mods that are here do a great job! |

I think with any forum there is going to be a certain amount of friction If we weren't allowed to say anything it wouldn't pay to join. People just have to learn to mentally weed out the instigators, and ignore them This is one instance where they "just ignore them and maybe they'll go away" will work. If no one responds to them it won't be any fun for them. I've been on the receiving end a few times, and have found the instigators to be uninformed in what they are even saying. They have nothing to base their ignorant post on, except they have convinced hemselves that they are an authority on the matter.

As the threads that get heated are the ones breeding tinies, too many breeds, not to standard, or the ones that look like a puppymill............. Most of the time in these threads the breeders true colors come out, do you really want these types of breeders being able to sell their dogs here, without anyone being able to ask questions or show the red flags? The injustice in my opinion, would be innocent YT buyers buying these puppies without the experienced people at YT letting them know what to look for. The breeders I see on YT that are ethical/reputable have been able to be apart of this board successfully.
