| top 12 categories or vital info This may have been suggested and it would be a dozy to do!!!! Compiling info on top categories of yorkie questions with helpful links and great posts etc. that is a sticky that people can view at quick glance.......of already fantastic posts or links shared. SOmetimes this info gets lost or is difficult to pull up because of the subject its under because this is a social group! Ideas: Health issues vital info top 12 or how many there actually are. Example Subject yorkie health insider tips threads of member posts Such as 1) Shared info in Eclampsia 2) hypoglycemia (low sugar) 3) luxating patella (trick knee) so and on and so forth. Books are great but Im yet to find one so full of experiences, personal opinions, and gret layman terms......sometimes its hard to find a problem unless you know the technical name! The info provided by this forum is unique and interesting. It would make an excellent book! Hope you guys understand what I was talking about. It would be very good but would it be a time consuming job! I wish I could volunteer to put something like that going and show exactly what I mean but I dont have time to do a big job like that, but I think it would be an excellent addition to this community! Anyway its something to think about. Last edited by luvdorkyyorkies; 04-21-2005 at 08:27 AM. |

| That is what I was coming here to suggest. There's been a few people who have written that they didn't read about a potential danger until after the fact. Like the lepto shot for example. The poisonous plant link was a good one and it is now way down the list. It could be a list of dangers that every yorkie (especially first time) owner should know about. Liver shunt Hypoglycemia Lepto/Rabies shots Deadly plants and foods anesthesia We could start a thread which anyone could contribute to and pin that or start a thread about what should be included (with suggested links) and have one volunteer put it in order so just the important info is included.

| I think one for new puppy health & supplies and how to make a hypoglycemia emergency kit would be very helpful. I had never heard of having a kit like that until SoCalyorkiLvr posted the info. I was searching all over the forum yesterday for her post so I could write down the items needed in the kit. It could save a yorkies life. |
