If you don't have the money, then you just don't donate right now. I do believe you can donate smaller amts, but you don't get the privilages of a donating member until you've donated $25.

Yeah I am no accusing, just asking. I guess i just feel like they are transforming this into a paid members site, with the free aspects of it shrinking more and more. I can see asking for a donation to participate, but not demanding a certain amount.

Thank you for your feedback. YorkieTalk is free for all members to ask questions, get answers, search, post pictures, share videos, and browse. However, after extensive talks with many of our Donating Members, who help YorkieTalk with fees and costs associated with running this community, we feel it is unfair for those that are not yet Donating Members to be allowed sell items in our community.

why demand a certain amount though?

We feel $25 is a fair amount for the benefits it gives, such as being able to participate in YorkieTalk Gift Exchanges as well as being able to sell items on YorkieTalk. Again, donating is completely optional. No one is required to donate to post questions, search threads, or view our archives.

For value received $25.00 is not much $$. Where can you have access to help, friends, and be able to sell items for one small lifetime fee of $25.00. I sincerely feel like I get back much more than $25.00 worth of entertainment daily.

I know that I have gotten WAYYYYY more than my $25.00 from YT! I dont have anything to sell, but just helping to keep this site running is enough for me! It is WELL worth it to me...

Yes, if you so choose to donate and not have that option under your name, that is fine. However, you would not be able to participate in the YorkieTalk Gift Exchanges or sell any Yorkie products here on YT, since we believe it may confuse other members who may not know that you did in fact donate. But that is perfectly fine by us if that is what you would like to do. It would be considered an "anonymous" donation. Thank you.

Love this site. It is nice to share my passion for yorkie .. my friends/family think I am crazy to have 5 of them.. but I know you guys understand.
