| What is going on ADMIN?? When I create a new thread, it doesn't show up anywhere unless you go to the actual forum it's in (General, My Yorkie..ect.). Before even if no one had responded, you would still see it, and other people saw it to be able to respond to it. I have an important health question but now it's just burried and has no views because people can't see it. Its pointless to post a new thread if people can't really see it unless they go to the actual forum it's in. People normally just click NEW POSTS to see whats new but really that's not the case. Can you please shed some light on this for me?

| I just got a IM from Admin. I asked the same question and they said,,,, New threads and new posts that you have just posted do not show up on the New Posts link any more, but if someone replies to that thread, it will show up in the New Posts link

| It's in the sick yorkie section. Coco is snorting all weird and I took her to the vet and they said she has allergies, because it's flemy and wet sounding. I asked about collapsed trachae but she said no because that would sound more dry. So I've been giving her children's benadryl allergy. But I don't know if this could be a cold (do dogs get colds) or if there is something else I can do to help her. My poor baby. Occasionally when she breathes, I can hear the stuff rattling around back there in her nose.

| On mine, I think if you read a thread already, it doesnt show up in the new posts. I hope Coco feels better. Let us know what happens.

| Thanks Kristy. I just left a message for her vet. Yea I hope admin takes it back to how it was before with the threads. It's reallly annoying and makes me not want to post any more threads. What's the point?

Administrator | New posts ONLY show you threads with posts that you have not read. If you post a new thread or a new reply in a thread, it will not show up in New Posts (for you) because the system considers you as having read that thread. For everyone else, that thread you just posted in will show up in the New Posts link because it is a new post for them. If you click on a thread that shows up in the New Posts link, the next time you click New Posts, that thread will not show up in the list because it has now been marked 'read'. This is a more efficient method, because members can now easily see what they have or haven't read and what threads have new posts in them on YT. If you want to clear your New Posts list, click on Quick Links then click Mark Forums Read and it will consider you as having read all current threads up until that time. We understand some member may not like this, and may be used to the old system, for those members, you may click on Quick Links then click Today's Posts. This will show you a list in reverse chronological order (meaning new posts first) of new threads for today, which will include threads in which you are the last person to reply and include threads which you have started. Alternatively, you can also bookmark this link below in your browser's favorites, which will give you results of the old style of the New Posts link... http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sea...ew&oldmethod=1 |
