| what causes a ....... Im curious on how some posts get deleted and some do not. I have had a post deleated due to offensive nature.. I dont remember putting anybodys name or anything like that but it was deleated. There has been tons and tons of "offensive" post on here that's actually directed at someone but you know what.. those are not deleted. I personally dont think its fair! What i said was not any worse than anybody else! I do apologize again to stewies mom. She thought that it was toward her and it wasn't. It was a general rambling. If this is offensive do to using her name...im sorry! |

| I think it depends on what moderator is on and when they are on. I have seen lots of threads that I thought would get deleted not get deleted or edited. I have seen others that I dont understand why they got deleted.

Donating YT 14K Club Member | I think a lot comes into play. Was there a personal attack, is the thread a redundant one that has been discussed many times. Are there several threads all on the same subject or all posted by the same member. We had a thread posted yesterday (I think) and the thread was posted 3 times...the exact same one, just in different categories. If by chance someone posts in a category and think that they posted in the wrong one, do not start it in a new category. Admin will move it at your request. Anyway, back to topic. I also agree somewhat with Chachi. It could be who the response was directed at and the nature of the reply. JMO

The enforcement of the rules can appear subjective, but the best thing to do is to re read the rules and send admin and the moderators a PM explaining why you think it wasn't fair and they will try to explain. Frankly, I have been on several forums and the admin here, while not perfect...sorry Dan....is the best I have encountered. They really do make an effort to be fair, but everyone is human and sometimes personal opinions have some say in the decisions. No way to prevent it. Don't let it discourage you from posting...just stay within the rules and you should do okay. | |

Not all threads get deleted. Sometimes, they get burried and can be pages back. I found the thread you were referring to and if someone doesn't post on it a while, it gets buried behind pages. As soon as someone posts to it, it pops back up to the top. No need to worry about your other thread. It's still there.

| I didn't think that any post was directed toward me. I just saw that everyone was having a HEART ATTACK and misinterpreting my comments about grammar and felt the need to defend myself. I did read the post that got deleted before it was deleted and I would bet that it is gone because of the last line about pathetic lives. Whether or not a post gets deleted, I think, has to do w/ whether it is offensive and off topic and if someone reports it or not. I didn't report any posts on that thread at all, but I would guess that either Schatzie read it since she had already replied to that thread and got an email notification or someone reported it.
