| In my opinion and Schatzie's too (she just spoke in Yorkinese) there should be NO limit to when, where, or how often or long one spends their own time on this site. If I want to personally read each thread/post, and at times even have to read it twice I will. If need be I will spend all day and night responding with my honest and sincere feelings to their thread in hopes to help or enlighten. I by no means want someone to "limit" my time that I full heartedly give to others. This web site is everything I could ever hope it to be. (other than have a few more emoticons, now that would be nice)

| I would hope my time was never limited on this site. I am so glad I found it and wish I had it when I had my Katie. Even as a past Yorkie owner, I have learned so much. It makes me feel "warm and fuzzie" to be in a "community" where other people understand my love for Yorkies and dogs in general! Not everyone is a dog person and understands what we go thru for our canine friends whether it's a happy time or a time of grief. I love this site and THANK YOU TO THE ONES WHO GOT IT STARTED!!!

Administrator | Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the slowness of the site at times, we are working on it. We have not experienced too much slowness ourselves the past few days, but we do understand that it can be frustrating. The popularity of YorkieTalk the past few weeks is astounding and overwhelming, but it brings us great pleasure to see everyone enjoying the new company. We have already upgraded the server twice in YorkieTalk's short lifetime. We will not ever limit a person's ability to spend time on YorkieTalk, and we will always allow unregistered users to freely view the site, as many people like to get a feeling of a forum first before signing up, or they are scared to sign up for something they are unsure of. Thus, the forum will be an open forum for all to see and peruse. However, we have limited those unregistered users access. Unregistered users are not being able to browse through the Photo Gallery, nor view attachments. If you are reading this and you are unable to view pictures, that is the reason. Simply register at the below link (YorkieTalk is and always will be FREE!) and you will have access to pictures and attachments. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/register.php? |

| I'm new here, but would be horrified if my time were limited. I already know so much about Yorkies, but being able to come homeand sit for a few minutes or even hours to find out something new or help a new owner out makes me happy (especially being sick and having nothing else to do right now). I would hate to have a time limit. I think slow moments are something we just kind of have to deal with on the internet. Even with High Speed, DSL, what have you, there will be slow periods b/c of high traffic times during the day. We just live and move on I guess. Although, I do agree it can be annoying.

| It seems every site I go to is SLOW, of course I have the dreaded 3 strikes against me 1. old fashion dial up 2. AOL 3. Macintosh computer. Seems I spend at least half of my computer time waiting for pages to open up. I have just learned to kick back and wait. I will fix a cup of coffee, take a potty break, twindle my thumbs and sometimes just shout at my computer which does seem to help. lol On a more serious note I have to add that I absolutely love this forum. Seems that since I've joined I spend the better part of my day and night here. I just love reading all of the older threads and looking at all of the pictures in the gallery. It is just so nice to have found such a great group of people here who all share a common interest. Before coming to this forum I often felt like I bored my friends with endless stories about my Yorkies, but now I feel like I have found new friends who love to hear it and I love to hear everyone else's stories about there babies too. I guess the word is out about what a great forum this is which is why so many new yorkie lovers have come to visit. So, I will gladly accept the sometimes slow pages for the great reward of new friends. |

| Thank you, Kim!!! And if I haven't told you already ... welcome!! Love what you said: "I just love reading all of the older threads and looking at all of the pictures in the gallery. When new people take the time to read the older threads there's lots and lots of information that answers questions they may have. Also they can learn a little about the members ... I find the old threads fascinating! We have lots of friends that aren't "animal people" and we find we don't stay in touch like we did before we bought Toto! The site has gotten slow several times since I joined ... I just "put up with it" because I know the admin. is working on it and sure enough the problem clears up!! Just takes a little time and patience.

I can truly relate to you about your adoration about your Yorkie(s). I often feel my family and friends tire easily over my endless email of pictures and stories of Schatzie. Yet, when logging on to Yorkie Talk I feel all my pic's and post's are looked at and appreciated, as this entire site loves YORKIE'S, we all have a common bond here with such respect and appreciation. I truly appreciate your outlook on this all!

| I'm sorry to hear you possibly not coming to YorkieTalk on account of the slowness. One suggestion would be to possibly try to view YT late at night or early in the morning, when there are not as many users online. I've only heard of one other person say the YorkieTalk servers are slow. |

| I personally have only had one time where Yorkie Talk didn't work well for me and it was cleared up quick as can be. I've never met so many people who are both animal lovers as well as just plain nice people. We all come from such different places and lifestyles, but can really come together here. Also, I've noticed that whenever there is a problem (some horrible post, etc) it is taken care of as soon as someone is contacted about it. That means a lot to me as I hate to see anyone's feelings get hurt over someone just out for a few "laughs" All in all, I would say Yorkie Talk has been the best message board I've ever been to and it would take a lot to keep me away now that I'm so addicted to both the people and their adorable dogs! I too have family members and friends who just can't relate and it's so nice to know that other people actually care about their furbabies as much as I do. So, I just want to say thanks to FastEddie, Junebug and the crew for making sure that this is a wonderful and friendly place for all of us Yorkie Lovers!

| After reading this thread last night I did get frustrated with the slowness....I have found coming here in the early AM is best for me....I live on the east coast and likely most folks are still sleeping. In the early AM this site moves like lightning!!!!!! But last night it was really s-l-o-w! I have found a similar site....*********....with similar discussions and questions....and many of the same folks. I typed on that site last night and back to catch up with you all this am.... Works for me!!!!!! |
