| Google ads :( Is YT a lot slower lately because of the google ads for anybody else? It takes forever for a page to load. And then you cannot hit the back button because it counts the ads as a page, so you have to keep clicking back, or use the drop down arrow, and go several pages down to go back to the page you were just viewing. This is fairly new...is it just me? |

| No issues here, but I use Firefox with an ad blocker, so I don't even see the ads

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | I hate them too. I think it makes the site look cheap. There are ads all over the page. Top and bottom. and yes slows everything down. |

| Oh, I should use firefox. I didn't really notice any new ads, but just the slow loading pages, and no back button! |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I get this ad at the top.Image12.jpg and this at the bottomImage13.jpg, but no pop ups, and have no problems using the back button, I'm using IE. My guess is you might has some spyware you picked up. I've had over 50 spyware programs at one time, they basically track where you go and what you buy, they are not a virus, but can slow down your computer. Some sites are really bad, especially those the graphic sites. Yorkietalk itself doesn't have any spyware associated with it, I tested. Do you have a spyware program?

| No problem here. I use Firefox but I don't even think adblock is on right now, so I don't know.

| I used to use Firefox with ad block but I've started using Google Chrome and that doesn't have an ad block add-on but it still runs just as fast as Firefox. The people with the issue have the issue themselves and not because YT is running slow.

| I've noticed it being slower recently, & I've had to hit the back button multiple times to go back one page for months now (I don't have any popups). I don't think it's my PC or my IE. The IT department here at work has every possible spyware/virus detection for us, and they really stay on top of things. Also, YT is the only site I have these problems on.

Administrator | We have had the same ads here on YorkieTalk for many months, we have not added any new ads. We do not have any popup ads or popunder ads of any sort, and we have always tried to keep the ads as minimally invasive as possible, which is why you do not see ads in the middle of posts or within posts if you are a registered member here. There are times that YorkieTalk does run slower than normal. This is usually during peak hours. Usually that is due to the sheer number of members online at once, it would generally not be ad-related at all. You may want to check your computer for viruses and spyware if you experience odd slowdowns or popup ads. As YorkieTalk is a completely free site for members, we rely on ads to keep our community alive. Without ads, this site would not be possible at all. There are a lot of costs associated with running a community this large. We have always strived to be a free resource for all Yorkie owners and potential Yorkie parents which we hope to continue. While members are free to use adblockers if they would like, please note that the ads are what allows YorkieTalk to be a vibrant community for everyone. Thank you. |
