I had asked someone to be a friend, never could figure out why they hadn't been on YT for awhile to accept me

-- but realized the other day that the are no longer a member here

I see the instructions for how to remove someone as your friend - by unchecking the box & saving, but the problem is when you have invited someone to be your friend & they haven't accepted, you can't uncheck the light grey box. So how can I remove someone who isn't even a member here? --- which is confusing in itself - why would anyone ever want to leave YT

We have tested this for you and you can remove them if you remove them as a contact as well. So check the box avatar (or the box to the left of the YT username), then go to the bottom of your contact list and click on "Save Changes". It will ask if you want to remove this member from your list. Click yes, and this member will no longer appear in your Contacts list.
